BOOT

OPENING

Press this button for more than two seconds to unlock
the boot lid. The boot lid opens slightly.

Lift the boot lid.
This action also unlocks the doors and the fuel fi ller fl ap.




Using the manual control; vehicle unlocked

Press the opening control above the number plate.

Lift the boot lid.




CLOSING

Lower the boot lid using one of the interior grab handles.

If necessary, press the top of the boot lid to close it fully.
If the boot lid is not closed correctly:


- when the engine is running
, this warning lamp comes on,
accompanied by a message in the screen for a few seconds,
When selective unlocking is activated, the boot can also be
opened by a second press on the open padlock on the remote
control.

Using the remote control

Emergency locking

If the central locking system fails (fl at battery), you are advised to
disconnect the battery.

- when the vehicle is moving
(speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this
warning lamp comes on, accompanied by an audible signal and a
message in the screen for a few seconds.

REAR VIEW MIRROR

Adjustable mirror providing a central rearward view.
Equipped with an anti-dazzle system, which darkens the mirror glass
and reduces the nuisance to the driver caused by the sun, headlamps
from other vehicles...

As a safety measure, the mirrors should be adjusted to reduce
the "blind spot".









Automatic day/night model


In order to ensure optimum visibility during your manoeuvres, the
mirror lightens automatically when reverse gear is engaged.

By means of a sensor, which measures the light from the rear of the
vehicle, this system automatically and progressively changes between
the day and night uses.
Due to the curve of the rear screen, the image in the rear view
mirror may be slightly distorted; take this into account when
manoeuvring the vehicle.

SWITCHING THE SYSTEM OFF

Turn the air fl ow control to the left until all of the indicator lamps
go off.
This action switches off the air conditioning and the ventilation.
Temperature related comfort is no longer guaranteed but a slight fl ow
of air, due to the movement of the vehicle, can still be felt.


)
Turn the air fl ow dial to the right or press the "AUTO"
button
to reactivate the system with the values set before it was
switched off.
Avoid prolonged operation in interior air recirculation mode or
driving for long periods with the system off (risk of condensation
and deterioration of the air quality).


8. Air intake / Air recirculation



)
Press this button for recirculation of the interior air. The
indicator lamp in the button comes on.
Air recirculation enables the passenger compartment to be isolated
from exterior odours and smoke.


)
As soon as possible, press this button again to permit the intake
of outside air and prevent the formation of condensation. The
indicator lamp on the button switches off.



9. Mono-zone / Dual-zone



)
Press this button to equalise the comfort value on the
passenger's side with that on the driver's side (mono
zone). The indicator lamp in the button comes on.


DEFROST


SWITCHING ON

The rear screen demisting/defrosting can only operate when the engine
is running.


)
Press this button to demist/defrost the rear screen and (depending
on version) the door mirrors. The indicator lamp associated with
the button comes on.



SWITCHING OFF

The demisting/defrosting switches off automatically to prevent an
excessive consumption of current.


)
It is possible to stop the demisting/defrosting operation before it
is switched off automatically by pressing the button again. The
indicator lamp associated with the button switches off.
If the engine is switched off before the demisting/defrosting is
switched off automatically, demisting/defrosting will resume next
time the engine is switched on.


)
Switch off the demisting/defrosting of the rear screen and door
mirrors as soon as appropriate as lower current consumption
results in reduced fuel consumption.
The control button is located on the heating or air conditioning
system control panel.

In this position, the courtesy lamp comes on gradually:


- when the vehicle is unlocked,

- when the key is removed from the ignition,

- when a door is opened,

- when the remote control locking button is activated, in order to
locate your vehicle. It switches off gradually:


- when the vehicle is locked,

- when the ignition is switched on,

- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.
Permanently off.
Permanent lighting.
With the "permanent lighting" mode, the duration of lighting varies,
depending on the circumstances:


- with the ignition off, approximately ten minutes,

- in energy economy mode, approximately thirty seconds,

- with the engine running, unlimited.

With the ignition on, press the corresponding switch.

INTERIOR MOOD LIGHTING
The dimmed passenger compartment lighting improves visibility in
the vehicle when the light is poor.

SWITCHING ON

At night, the footwell lighting and the front courtesy mood lamp come
on automatically when the sidelamps are switched on.


SWITCHING OFF

The interior mood lighting switches off automatically when the
sidelamps are switched off.


PROGRAMMING

The function is activated or deactivated via the vehicle
confi guration menu.
This function is activated by default.
INTERIOR WELCOME LIGHTING

The remote switching on of the passenger compartment lighting
makes your entry into the vehicle easier in poor light. It is activated in
accordance with the light intensity detected by the brightness sensor.

SWITCHING ON

Press the open padlock on the remote control.
The front door sill lighting, the footwell lighting and the courtesy lamps
come on; your vehicle is also unlocked.


SWITCHING OFF

The interior welcome lighting switches off automatically after a set time
or when one of the doors is opened.

The welcome lighting duration is associated with and identical to
that of the automatic guide-me-home lighting.

EXTERIOR WELCOME LIGHTING
The remote switching on of the lighting makes your approach to the
vehicle easier in poor light. It is activated according to the level of light
detected by the sunshine sensor.

Press the open padlock on the remote control.
The dipped beam headlamps and the sidelamps come on; your
vehicle is also unlocked.




PROGRAMMING

The duration of the welcome lighting is associated with and
identical to that of the automatic guide-me-home lighting.

The lighting duration is selected via the vehicle
confi guration menu.


SWITCHING OFF


The exterior welcome lighting switches off automatically after a set
time, when the ignition is switched on or on locking the vehicle.

SUN VISOR
Component which protects against sunlight from the front or the side,
also equipped with an illuminated courtesy mirror.

With the ignition on, raise the concealing fl ap; the mirror is lit
automatically.
This sun visor is also equipped with a ticket holder.

Its lid has areas for storing a pen, a pair of spectacles, tokens, cards, a

To open the glove box, raise the handle.
The lamp comes on when the lid is opened.
The glove box is equipped with an air vent, which can be opened or
closed. This distributes the same conditioned air as the vents in the
passenger compartment.
It also provides access to the dashboard fusebox (refer to the section
"Practical information - Changing a fuse").

FRONT ARMREST
Comfort and storage device for the driver and front passenger.
The height and length of the armrest cover can be adjusted.

The duration of lighting varies, depending on the context:


- when the ignition is off, approximately ten minutes,

- when the engine is running, no limit.







STORAGE BOX

This has areas for storing a box of spare bulbs, a fi rst aid kit, the
temporary puncture repair kit, a warning triangle, the removable ball of
the towbar system...






BOOT LAMPS

Your vehicle is fi tted with two boot lamps; one in the right-hand boot
side trim and a second in the centre under the rear shelf.
They come on automatically when the boot is opened and switch off
automatically when the boot is closed.
They cannot be deactivated manually.
A second warning triangle can be stored in the boot lid trim. It also contains the vehicle's handbook pack.
For access to it:

raise the fl oor using the strap,

secure it in the vertical position behind the stops, located on the sides of the boot.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING CONTROLS
Control stalk for the selection and control of the various front and rear
lamps providing the vehicle's lighting.

MAIN LIGHTING

The various front and rear lamps of the vehicle are designed to adapt
the driver's visibility progressively in relation to the climatic conditions:


- sidelamps, to be seen,

- dipped beam headlamps to see without dazzling other drivers,

- main beam headlamps to see clearly when the road is clear.



ADDITIONAL LIGHTING

Other lamps are fi tted to fulfi l the requirements of particular driving
conditions:


- a rear foglamp to be seen from a distance,

- directional headlamps for improved visibility when cornering,

- daytime running lamps to be seen during the day.



SETTINGS

Various automatic lighting control modes are also available depending
on options:


- daytime running lamps,

- automatic illumination of headlamps,

- directional lighting,

- guide-me-home lighting.

In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity),
the presence of misting on the internal surface of the glass of the
headlamps and rear lamps is normal; it disappears after the lamps
have been on for a few minutes.
