Preconditionsforoperationofthe
convertibletop
Withtherockerswitch:
-Theignitionmustbeswitchedon
(enginerunningoroff),
-theenginecompartmentlidmustbeclosed,
-thespeedmustbebelow30mph(50km/h).
Ifthismaximumspeedisexceeded,theopen-
ing/closingprocedureoftheconvertibletop
willbeinterrupted.
Withthevehiclekeyinthedoorlock:
-Theenginecompartmentlidmustbeclosed.

~Openingconvertible

Warning!
Riskofinjuryanddamagewhenoperating
theconvertibletop.
~Makeabsolutelysurethatnobodycanbein-
juredbytheconvertible-topmechanismorthe
convertible-topcompartmentlid.
~Beforeopeningtheconvertibletop,make
surethattherearenoobjectsbehindtherear
seats.
~Inordertoabortconvertibletopoperationin
theeventofdanger,immediatelyreleasethe
switchorvehiclekey.
Withtherockerswitch:
~Pressleftrocker-switchhalfwithoutinterrup-
tionuntiltheconvertibletophasreachedits
finalpositionoruntilthedoorwindowsarein
thedesiredposition.
Withthevehiclekey:
~Unlockvehiclewiththeremotecontrol.
~Holdthevehiclekeyintheunlockingposition
inthedoorlockuntiltheconvertibletophas
reacheditsfinalpositionoruntilthedoorwin-
dowsareinthedesiredposition.
Re-Iockthevehicleifnecessary.

thedoorlockuntiltheconvertibletophas
reacheditsfinalposition.

Unlockthevehicle.
Closethewindowswiththerockerswitches
inthecenterconsole.
Re-Iockthevehicleifnecessary.

Iftheconvertibletopdoesnotlockinthe
windshieldframe

Openconvertibletopagain,starttheengine
andclosetheconvertibletopagainusingthe
rockerswitch.
Assistwiththeclosingprocessbygrasping
theconvertibletopatthehandholdandpulling
ittowardthewindshieldframe(arrow).

Itlights
upwhentheignitionisswitchedonand
mustgooutwhentheengineisrunning.
Ifthewarninglightlightsupwiththeenginerun-
ning,theconvertibletopisnotinoneofitsend
positions.

Driveonlywiththeconvertibletopfullyopen
orclosed.
Ifthewarninglightdoesnotgooutintheend
position,pleaseconsultanauthorizedPorsche

Afaultispossible,oritmaybenecessaryto

whenoperatingthe

RemovetheAllen
key.

2.UsethescrewdrivertoremoveplasticlidE
fromtheliningfrombehind.
3.InsertAllenkeyBintothedriveaxleforthe
leftsideflapF.
TurnAllenkeycounterclockwise(indirection
ofarrow)untilthesideflapFisfullyopen
(perceptiblestop).
Repeatprocedurewiththerightsideflap.
RemovetheAllenkey.

TheAllenkeycanrotateorflyoutand
therebycauseseriouspersonalinjuryifthe
convertibletopisactuated.
I>AlwaysremovetheAllenkeyBfromthedrive
axleofthesideflapbeforeoperatingthecon-

closetheconvertibletopusingtherocker

thehydraulicvalve.
TurnAllenkeyBcounterclockwisebyapprox.

convertibletopinthemiddle.
3.Closetheconvertibletopuntilitreachesits
highestposition.

Theconvertibletoplockwiththelockinghookis
fittedontheconvertibletop.
Performtheworkontheconvertibletoplock
whenstandingontheright-handsideoftheve-
hicle.

InsertAllenkeyintheopeningatthefront
edgeoftheconvertibletopandpresslidH
downandout.
2.InsertAllenkeyinopeningJandmovefor-
wardasfarasitwillgo("open"arrow).
PulloutAllenkeyandinsertitintheopening
thathasnowbecomevisibleattherear.
MoveAllenkeyforwardagain.
RepeatthisprocessuntilthelockinghookK
hasbeenfullextended(perceptiblestop).

MoveAllenkeytotheright(indirectionof
arrow)untillatchMisheardtoengage.
5.Pulltheconvertibletopallthewayforwardto
thewindshieldframe.

Whenlockingtheconvertibletop,makesure
thatthelockinghookengagesinthewindshield
frame.Pulltheconvertibletoptothewindshield
frameusingthehandholdifnecessary.
1.InsertAllenkeyinopeningNandmoveback
asfarasitwillgo("close"arrow).
PulloutAllenkeyandinsertitintheopening
thathasnowbecomevisibleatthefront.
MoveAllenkeybackagain.
Repeatthisprocessuntiltheconvertibletop
iscompletelylocked(perceptiblestopduring
rotation).
2.PulloutAllenkey.
