Scroll direction:
Set the scrolling behavior of the \fUNE\bMENU\bEN\fER
dial to scroll UP or DOWN.
Day/Night button:
Push the
button to switch the display brightness
between the daytime and nighttime modes.
AUX button:
\fhe AUX IN jack is located on the instrument panel. For
details, see “USB\bAUX connector” (P.4-55) . \fhe AUX
IN audio input jack accepts any standard analog audio
input such as from a portable cassette tape player, CD
player, digital audio player or laptop computer.
Push the
button to play a compatible device when
it is plugged into the AUX IN jack.
RENAUL\f strongly recommends using a stereo mini
plug cable when connecting your music device to the
audio system. Music may not play properly when a
monaural cable is used.
CD player operation

\fhe audio system operates when the ignition switch is in the “ACC” or “ON” position.
Loading:
Insert a CD into the slot with the label side facing up.
\fhe CD will be guided automatically into the slot and
will start playing. After loading the CD, the number of
tracks and the playtime will appear on the display.
CAUTION:
Do not force the CD into the slot. This could
damage the player.
NOTE:
.
The CD player accepts normal audio CDs or
CDs containing MP3/WMA files.
. The audio unit will automatically detect if a
CD containing MP3/WMA files is inserted,
and [MP3CD] will be indicated.
. An error notification message will be dis-
played when an incompatible disc (e.g. DVD)
is inserted, or if the player cannot read the
CD. Eject the disc and insert another disc.
List view:
While the track is being played, push either the \fUNE\b
MENU\bEN\fER dial or the
button to display the
available tracks in a listed view mode. \furn the \fUNE\b
MENU\bEN\fER dial to select a track from the list, or a
track to start listening to, and then push the \fUNE\b
MENU\bEN\fER dial.
Quick search:
In the list view mode, a quick search can be performed
to find a track from the list. Push the
button, turn
the \fUNE\bMENU\bEN\fER dial to the first alphabetic
letter of the song title and then push the \fUNE\bMENU\b
EN\fER dial. When found, a list of the available songs
will be displayed. Select, and push the \fUNE\bMENU\b EN\fER dial to play the preferred track.
CD button:
When the
button is pushed while the audio
system is turned off and a CD is loaded, the audio
system will turn on and a CD will start playing
automatically. If the radio or AUX source mode is
already playing, it will automatically turn off and the CD
will start playing.
However, if the CD is not loaded, then a notification
message will be displayed and the audio unit will
remain in the radio or AUX source mode.
Fast Forward/Rewind buttons:
Push and hold the
\bbutton to fast forward or
rewind through the track. When the button is released,
the track will play at normal playing speed.
\frack up\bdown:
By pushing the
\bbutton once, the track will
skip forward to the next track or backward to the
beginning of the current track. Push the
\bbutton more than once to skip through the tracks.
Folder browsing:
If the recorded media contains folders with music files,
pushing the
\bbutton will play the tracks of
each folder in sequence.
\fo select a preferred folder:
1. Push the \fUNE\bMENU\bEN\fER dial or the
button and a list of tracks in the current folder is
displayed.
2. Push the
button.
3. \furn the \fUNE\bMENU\bEN\fER dial to highlight the preferred folder.

2. Push and hold a radio memor\f button*1-*6until a beep sounds. \bThe radio mutes when the
memor\f button is pushed.)
3. The channel indicator will displa\f and the radio mute disengages, indicating that the memor\f is
stored properl\f.
4. Perform steps 1 - 3 for all other memor\f buttons.
If the batter\f cable is disconnected, or if the audio fuse
blows, the radio memor\f will be erased. If this occurs,
reset the desired stations.
USB memor\f device operation
Audio main operation:
The USB connector is located on the instrument panel.
For details, see “USB/AUX connector” \bP.4-55) .
Open the lid and connect a USB memor\f device into
the connector. The s\fstem will switch to the USB
memor\f device mode automaticall\f.
If the s\fstem is turned off while the USB memor\f
device is pla\fing, pushing the
dial will start the
USB memor\f device.
If the USB memor\f device cannot be pla\fed, one of the
following messages will be displa\fed.
. “USB memor\f device not supported”
. “No audio file detected”
WARNING:
Do not connect, disconnect or operate the USB
device while driving. Doing so can be a distrac-

To operate the USB memor\f device use one of the

ENTER dial to select the USB item. Once high-
lighted, push the TUNE/MENU/ENTER dial.

highlighted, and then push the TUNE/MENU/
ENTER dial.

Connecting iPod:
The USB connector is located on the instrument panel.
For details, see “USB/AUX connector” \bP.4-55) . Open
the USB connector lid and connect the iPod cable to
the USB connector. The batter\f of the iPod is charged
while the device is connected to the vehicle.
Depending on the version of the iPod, the displa\f on
the iPod shows a RENAULT or Accessor\f Attached
screen when the connection is completed. When the
iPod is connected to the vehicle, the iPod music librar\f
can onl\f be operated b\f the vehicle audio controls.
