Pair and connect a mobile tele-
phone to the Infotainment system
In order to manage a mobile telephone via the Infotainment system, it is necessary topair both devices once.
For your safety, we recommend you make the
link when the vehicle is stationary. In some
countries it is not possible to perform the pair-
ing with the vehicle running.
Conditions
You must guarantee the following setup in the mobile phone and the Infotainment system:

Telephone management systemWhen the pairing has been finalized correct-ly, the Telephone main menu will appear. The
phone book, call list and SMS messages stor- ed in the mobile phone will be loaded oncethe requests have been accepted in the mo-bile phone. The duration of the loading proc-
ess depends on the amount of data stored on the mobile telephone. After downloading, the
data will be available on the Infotainment
system.
Pairing and connection of mobile tele-
phones
You can pair up to 20 mobile telephones to the Infotainment system, but there can only
be two mobile phones simultaneously con-
nected to the hands-free profile, and a thirddevice to the Bluetooth

data
from the paired mobile telephone to be avail- able on the Infotainment system. Dependingon the volume of data to be transferred, theprocess can take several minutes. It may benecessary to confirm the data transfer on themobile telephone.
The phonebook can also be opened during a
telephone call.
If the name stored in the phonebook has an
assigned photo, it can be displayed in the list
next to the name

If the mobile phone connected to the HFP
profile also supports the SMS profile, a newfunction button will appear in the top left-
hand corner of the Telephone menu, which
will allow SMS messages to be received,
viewed and sent by the Infotainment system.
The proper operation of the functions men- tioned above will depend on the compatibili-ty of the connected mobile telephone.

Press the SETTINGS function button from the
Telephone main menu.
Function button: functionPrivate mode: Private mode can only be activated
during an active call. With the private mode disabled
(by default) the sound of the call is managed by the vehicle. With the private mode enabled the sound ofthe call is managed by the phone.Select mobile phone: From the list, select the mobile
telephone to be connected to the hands-free profile
with the Infotainment system.OR: Press Find telephone to connect a new mobile tel-

SetupAdjust the playback volume for externalaudio sources
If you need to increase the playback volume
for the external audio source, first lower the base volume on the Infotainment system.
If the sound from the external audio source is too low , increase the output volume on the
external audio source. If this is not enough,
change the input volume to medium
or high
.
If the sound from the connected external au-
dio source is too loud or distorted , lower the
output volume on the external audio source.
If this is not sufficient, set the input volume to
Medium or Quiet
