Rear wiper
To turn the rear wip er on, turn the knob on the end of the wip er c ontrol
lever to the “ON ” p osition.
To turn the wip er off, return the knob on the end o f the lever to the
“ OFF ” p osition.
Washer
To wash the rear wind ow while the rear wip er is op e rating , turn the
knob on the end of the wip er c ontrol lever c ounterc loc kwise to the

” p osition. The washer fluid sp rays until you releas e the knob .
To wash the rear wind ow when the rear wip er is not in use, turn the
knob on the end of the wip er c ontrol lever c loc kwis e to the “

p osition. The washer fluid sp rays and the wip er op e rates until you re-
lease the knob .
Windshield wiper deicer (if equipped)
CAUTION
To prevent the battery from being discharged, do not operate the windshield wiper deicer continuously for any longer than neces-
sary.
The wind shield wip er d eic er op erates only when the ig nition switc h is in
the “ON ” p osition.

Before turning on the wind shield wip er d eic er, remo
ve any snow from the
wind shield . To turn on the wind shield wip er d eic er, p ush the switc h. The
ind ic ator lig ht loc ated on the switc h lig hts up whi le the wind shield wip er
d eic er is op erating .
The wind shield wip er d eic er will automatic ally shut off after ab out 15 min-
utes. If the wip er b lad es have b een d eic ed c omp lete ly b efore that time,
p ush the switc h to turn it off. It also turns off w hen the ig nition switc h is
turned to the “ACC ” or “LOCK ” p osition. If d eic ing is not c omp lete when
you restart your vehic le, you have to p ush the swit c h to turn the d eic er
on ag ain. Rear window defogger switch
CAUTION
Do not use sharp instruments or window cleaner containing
abrasives to clean the inner surface of the rear window. They may
damage the conductors printed on the window. To prevent the battery from being discharged, do not operate
the defogger continuously for any longer than necessary.
The rear wind ow d efog g er op erates only when the ig n ition switc h is in
the “ON ” p osition.

The insid e mirror has a d ay and nig ht p osition. Pul l the tab at the b ottom
of the mirror toward you for the nig ht p osition. Pu sh it away for the d ay
p osition. The nig ht p osition red uc es g lare from hea d lig hts.
Outside mirrors
WARNING
Objects look smaller in a convex mirror (passenger side) and far-
ther away than when viewed in a flat mirror. Do not use the con-vex mirror to judge the distances of vehicles behind you whenchanging lanes. Use the inside mirror (or glance backwards) todetermine the actual size and distance of objects that you view in
the convex mirror.

1. Press either end of the selec tion switc h, “L ” for the left and “R ” for
the rig ht.
2. Move the d irec tion c ontrol switc h in the d irec tio n you want to move
the mirror.
3. Return the selec tion switc h to the neutral p ositi on to p revent
unintentional op eration.
The mirrors c an also b e ad justed manually. Outside mirror defogger (if equipped) CAUTION

The outsid e mirror d efog g er shares the switc h with rear wind ow
