You may find that the antenna is already installed on the vehicle
at the time of delivery. In that case, ask your SUBARU dealerabout the storage location of the special wrench.

Althoug h FM is normally static free, rec ep tion c an b e affec ted b y the sur-
round ing area, atmosp heric c ond itions, station stre ng th and transmitter
d istanc e. Build ing s or other ob struc tions may c ause momentary static ,
flutter or station interferenc e. If rec ep tion c onti nues to b e unsatisfac tory,
switc h to a strong er station.
AM/FM stereo radio with cassette player
The rad io will op erate only when the ig nition switc h is in the “ACC ” or
“ ON ” p ositions.

NOTE Only use good quality cassettes (cassettes longer than C-90 are
not recommended). Put cassettes back in their boxes immediately after use to protect
them from dust and dirt and to prevent the tape from unwinding. Never expose cassettes to heat, direct sunlight or moisture.
Clean the tape head (once or twice a month) using a wet-type
cleaning cassette .
