3. Close the d river ’s d oor.

4. Plac e the ig nition key into the ig nition switc h a nd c yc le the switc h
from LOCK to ON ten times within 15 seconds. Be sure to stop at the
LOCK p osition and leave the key in the ignition . The horn will sound
onc e to ind ic ate that you are in the transmitter p r og ramming mod e.
NOTE
You must finish the next step (opening the driver ’s door) within
45 seconds of starting this procedures.

trac k numb er will ap p ear on the d isp lay and the CD p layer will start
p layb ac k. NOTE If the “CD” button is pressed during a radio broadcast, the
disc will interrupt the broadcast. After playback on the last song finishes, the player will auto-
matically return to track 1 (the first song on the disc). To select a song from its beginning

Release the b utton to stop fast forward ing or fast reverse.

Press the “RPT ” b utton
O while a song is p laying to p lay the song
rep eated ly. The “RPT ” ind ic ator will c ome on and the song will b e
p layed c ontinuously. To c anc el the rep eat mod e, p re ss the b utton
ag ain. Then the “RPT ” ind ic ator g oes out, and normal p layb ac k mod e
is restored . Random playback
Press the “RAND ” b utton
I while a d isc is b eing p layed b ac k to p lay
all song s on the d isc in a rand om ord er. The “RAND ” ind ic ator will
c ome on and all song s on the d isc will b e p layed in a rand om ord er.
To c anc el the rand om mod e, p ress the b utton ag ain. Then the
“ RAND ” ind ic ator g oes out, and normal p layb ac k mod e is re stored .

When cassette tape is in the player
When the “TAPE ” b utton 9 is p ressed , the d isp lay will show “PLAY ”
and the p layer will start p layb ac k. Tape travel indicators

When the p rog ram switc hing b utton “PROG ”

p layb ac k, the tap e travel ind ic ators will switc h an d the p layer will b e-
g in p laying b ac k the op p osite sid e of the tap e. The same mec hanism
is automatic ally ac tivated when the end of the tap e is reac hed . This
allows the op p osite sid e of the tap e to p lay, p rovi d ing c ontinuous
p layb ac k. Fast-forward button (FF)
To fast-forward the tap e, p ress the “FF ” b utton
T. The d isp lay will
show “FF ”. To stop fast-forward ing , p ress the “FF ” or “TAPE ” 9 b utton.
Rewind button (REW)
To rewind the tap e, p ress the “REW ” b utton Y. The d isp lay will ind i-
c ate “REW ”. To stop rewind ing , p ress the “REW ” or “TAPE ” 9 b utton.
Eject button (

When “
” b utton W is p ressed , p lay b ac k stop s and the c assette
tap e is ejec ted .
The ejec tion func tion also op erates when the ig niti on switc h is in the
“ LOCK ” p osition. Always make c ertain that you remove the c assette
tap e. Tape program sensor button (TPS)
n Blank skip
When the “TPS ” b utton
E is p ressed , the “TPS ” ind ic ator will c ome on
and the p layer will automatic ally skip any b lank p o rtion of 15 sec ond
or more and p lay the next p rog ram, even if it is on the other sid e. To
c anc el b lank skip mod e, p ress the “TPS ” b utton ag ain.

in the ACC or the ON p osition, that tap e will start to p lay automatic ally.
Press the TAPE b utton when you want to p lay a c asse tte that has p re-
viously b een inserted .
Cassette tape stop and eject button
When “
” b utton is p ressed , p layb ac k stop s and the c assette tap e
is ejec ted .
Before the ig nition switc h is turned to the “OFF ” p osition, ejec t the
tap e from the p layer. Always make c ertain that you remove the c as-
sette tap e.
