NOTE Only use good quality cassettes (cassettes longer than C-90 are
not recommended). Put cassettes back in their boxes immediately after use to protect
them from dust and dirt and to prevent the tape from unwinding. Never expose cassettes to heat, direct sunlight or moisture.
Clean the tape head (once or twice a month) using a wet-type
cleaning cassette .

Scan (a convenient way to become familiar with a disc)
1. Press the “SCAN ” b utton A.
– The d isp lay shows “SCAN ” and the trac k numb er b eing
sc anned .
– You hear the first 10 sec ond s of eac h trac k.
– The op eration is automatic ally c leared after p layin g all p ro-
g rams. Then, normal p layb ac k starts.
2. Press the “SCAN ” b utton ag ain when you hear a trac k you like.
– Normal p layb ac k resumes.
To stop playback
To stop p layb ac k and switc h over to the rad io mod e, p ress the
“ BAND ” b utton. To stop p layb ac k and switc h over to the c a ssette
p layer mod e, p ress the “TAPE ” b utton.

hills. Selecting preset stations
Presetting a station with a p reset b utton 5 allows you to selec t that
station in a sing le op eration. Up to six AM, FM1, F M2 and WB stations
eac h may b e p reset. How to preset stations
1. Press the “FM/AM ” selec tion b utton to selec t AM, FM1 or FM2 re-
c ep tion.
OR
Press the “WB ” b utton
3 to selec t the weather b and .
2. Press the “SCAN ” b utton 2 or tune the rad io manually until the d e-
sired station freq uenc y is d isp layed .
3. Press one of the p reset b uttons 5 for at least 1.5 seconds to store
the freq uenc y. The freq uenc y of the station will fl ash onc e on the d is-
p lay at this time. If the b utton is p ressed for les s than 1.5 sec ond s, the
p rec ed ing selec tion will remain in memory. NOTE If the connection between the radio and battery is broken for any
reason such as vehicle maintenance or radio removal, all stationsstored in the preset buttons are cleared. If this occurs, it is neces-sary to reset the preset buttons.
