This system is operated by a signal from the
light sensor (5) on the front windshield. Do
not cover the sensor (5). If you do, the sys-
tem will not work correctly.NOTE:
The light sensor is sensitive to infrared
rays, so it may operate incorrectly in the
region of strong infrared rays.

The following settings of the automatic
light function can be customized to your
preference. Please contact an DXWKRULVHG
0DUXWL 6X]XNL ZRUNVKRS if you wantthe
function reprogrammed.
6HQVLWLYLW\RIWKHOLJKWVHQVRU
The amount of outside light needed to turn
the lights on and off is pre-set at the fac-
tory. The sensitivity of the light sensor can
be adjusted so that the lights are turned on
and off when it is:
• lighter outside than the pre-set condition,
or
• darker outside than the pre-set condition5DLQWULJJHUHG DXWRPDWLF OLJKWLQJ RSHU
DWLRQ
The setting of the auto-on headlight sys-
tem can be changed to make it turn on the
headlights:
• when the rain sensor senses heavy rain-
fall
• when the rain sensor senses light and
heavy rainfall (in coordination with rain-
sensing wiper operation), or
• independently from rain-sensing wiper
operation./LJKW5HPLQGHU%X]]HUThe interior buzzer continuously beeps if
you open the driver’s door without turning
off the headlights and position lights. This
function is triggered under the following
condition:
The headlights and/or position lights are on
even after the ignition switch is turned off, or
the engine switch is pressed to change the
ignition mode to LOCK (OFF).
The buzzer stops sounding when you turn
off the headlights and position lights.NOTE:A message is indicated on the information
display in the instrument cluster while the
buzzer is sounding.

The front fog light comes on when the fog
light switch is pushed in with the position
lights, tail lights and/or the headlights are
on. An indicator light above the switch will
be lit when the front fog light is on.
NOTE:
In some countries the lighting operation
may be different from the above descrip-
tion according to local regulations.

Press the horn button of the steering wheel
to sound the horn. The horn will sound with
the ignition switch in any position or any
ignition mode.

When the rear window is misted, push this
switch (1) to clear the mist from the win-
dow.An indicator light will be lit when the defog-
ger is on. The defogger will work only
when the engine is running. To turn off the
defogger, push the switch (1) again.
NOTE:
• The defogger will work only when the
engine is running.
• The defogger will automatically turn off
after the defogger remains on for 15 min-
utes to prevent discharging of the bat-
tery.

The main fuse, primary fuses and some of the
individual fuses are located in the engine
compartment. If the main fuse blows, no elec-
trical component will function. If a primary fuse
blows, no electrical component in the corre-
sponding load group will function. When
replacing the main fuse, a primary fuse or an
individual fuse, use a 0DUXWL *HQXLQH3DUWTo
remove a fuse, use the fuse puller provided in
the fuse box. The amperage of eachfuse is
shown in the back of the fuse boxcover.

fuse with a fuse of the correct amper-
age. Never use a substitute such as
aluminum foil or wire to replace a
blown fuse. If you replace a fuse and
the new one blows in a short period of
time, you may have a major electrical

to rotate the tires to the opposite side of
the fog light that requires replacement.
Then turn off the engine.

2) Remove the screws (1).

3) Remove the clips (2) by prying it off with
a flat blade screwdriver as shown in the
illustration.

4) Open the end of the cover inside the
fender.

5) Disconnect the coupler by pushing the
lock release. Turn the bulb holder coun-
terclockwise and remove it.
