Remaining charging time Charging information is displayed on the
Multi-Information Display.
If the POWER switch is turned to ON mode during charging, the estimated amount
of time needed for charge completion will be displayed.
After confirming, switch the POWER switch to OFF to turn off the display. The
POWER switch will turn off automatically after approximately two minutes.
Multi-Information Display-Charging
information
Charging information and warning messages The first time the POWER switch is
turned to ON mode after charging is completed, a message detailing the results
of the charge is shown. Also, if an operation that cannot be carried out during
charging was attempted, a warning message will be shown.
While charging with an external power source, the heater or Air Conditioning
can be operated before getting in the vehicle. If the Air Conditioning system is
remotely activated while charging, charging will stop but resume when the Air
Conditioning system goes off.
The Remote Climate Control will operate in accordance with the temperature
settings of the Air Conditioning system, so be sure to check the settings before
leaving the vehicle.

- The system will shut off if a door is opened. The system can be stopped by
pressing the “
” button twice.

Downshifting increases power going uphill, or provides regenerative braking
downhill. For best power economy during normal driving conditions, always drive

In the unlikely event that the electrical leakage detection function is not
operating properly, contact your Toyota or Scion dealer as soon as possible.
Check that it is operating properly by following the procedure below.
Step 1 Insert the charging cable into the outlet of the external power source.
Step 2 Press the test button on the CCID (Charging Circuit Interrupting Device).
If the error warning indicator
illuminates when the test button
is pressed, the function is
operating correctly.
Step 3 Press the reset button on the CCID (Charging Circuit Interrupting Device).
Check that the error warning indicator turns off. Charging cannot be carried out
while the error warning indicator is illuminated.
Charging can be continued by following the normal procedure. Store the charging
cable when not in use.

HAC helps prevent rolling backwards on an incline. To engage, push further down
on brake pedal while at a complete stop until a beep sounds and slip indicator
illuminates. HAC holds for approximately two seconds after releasing brake pedal.
