Shifting between “H4”and “L4”
nShifting from “H4” to “L4”
Stop the vehicle completely.
Shift the shift lever to “N”.
Push and turn the four−wheel drive control switch fully clock−
wise.
Maintain this condition until the low speed four−wheel drive indica−
tor light turns on.
nShifting from “L4” to “H4”
Stop the vehicle completely.
Shift the shift lever to “N”.
Turn the four−wheel drive control switch fully counterclock−
wise.
Maintain this condition until the low speed four−wheel drive indica−
tor light turns off.

Adjusting the position of cross rails
Turn the knobs counterclockwise
to release the cross rails.
Slide the cross rails to the appro−
priate position for loading lug−
gage and turn the knobs
clockwise to tighten the cross
rails securely.

The display angles change as
follows each time is
pressed.
The display angle is memorized
and will be recalled when the
“ENGINE START STOP” switch is
turned to ACCESSORY or IGNI−
TION ON mode again.
nCaution screen
This screen appears for a few
seconds when the rear display is
opened. During this time, only
can be operated.
Headphone jacks
To listen to the rear audio, use
headphones.
To use the headphones
Connect them to the jack.
To adjust the volume

nAdding engine oil
If the oil level is below or near
the low level mark, add engine
oil of the same type as already in
the engine.
Make sure to check the oil type and prepare the items needed before
adding oil.
Remove the oil filler cap.
Add engine oil slowly,
checking the dipstick.
Install the filler cap, turning it clockwise.

Power steering fluid
nFluid level
The fluid level should be within the appropriate range.
Full (when hot)
Add fluid (when hot)

Hot:Vehicle has been driven around 50 mph (80 km/h) for 20 min−
utes, or slightly longer in frigid temperatures. (Fluid tempera−
ture, 140°F − 175°F [60°C − 80°C]).
Cold:Engine has not been run for about five hours. (Room temper−
ature, 50°F − 85°F [10°C − 30°C]).

Checking the fluid level
Make sure to check the fluid type and prepare the necessary items.
Clean all dirt off the reservoir.
Remove the cap by turning it counterclockwise.
Wipe the dipstick clean.
Reinstall and remove the reservoir cap again.
Check the fluid level.
