QChild restraint system compatibility for each seating position
Compatibility of each seating position with child restraint sys tems
( P. 61) displays the type of child restraint systems that can be
used and possible seating positions for installation using symb ols.
Also, the recommended child restraint system that is suitable f or
your child can be selected.
Otherwise, check [Recommended child restraint systems and Com-
patibility table] for recommended child restraint systems. ( P. 6 5 )
Check the selected child restraint system together with the fol low-
ing [Before confirming the compatibility of each seating positi on
with child restraint systems].

Checking the child restraint system standards.
Use a child restraint system that conforms to UN(ECE) R44*1 or
UN(ECE) R129*1, 2.
The following approval mark is displayed on child restraint sys -
tems which are conformed.
Check for an approval mark attached to the child restraint sys-
tem.

Also, if there are any uncertainties, check the user’s guide
included with the child restraint system or contact the retaile r of
the child restraint system.

restraint system)
Install the child restraint system in accordance to the operati on
manual enclosed with the child restraint system.
If the child restraint system on hand is not within the “univer sal” cat-
egory (or the necessary information is not in the table), refer to the
“Vehicle List” provided by the child restraint system maker for vari-
ous possible installation positions, or check the compatibility after
asking the retailer of the child restraint system. ( P. 6 0 , 6 1 )
If the head restraint interferes with the child restraint syste m
installation and the head restraint can be removed, remove the
head restraint. Otherwise, put the head restraint in the upper
most position. ( P. 294)

For safety and security
The intrusion sensor detects intruders or movement in the vehicle.
This system is designed to deter and prevent vehicle theft but does
not guarantee absolute security against all intrusions.
QSetting the intrusion sensor
The intrusion sensor will be set automatically when the alarm i s set.
( P. 7 6 )
QCanceling the intrusion sensor
If you are leaving pets or other moving things inside the vehic le,
make sure to disable the intrusion sensor before setting the al arm,
as they will respond to movement inside the vehicle.
Turn the power switch off.
A message is displayed on the multi-information display for app roxi-
mately 4 seconds asking if you wish to cancel the intrusion sen sor.
Press or of the
meter control switch on the
steering wheel, select “Yes”
and then press .
If an operation is not performed
for approximately 5 seconds,
the message will be automati-
cally extinguished and the intru-
sion sensor will not be canceled.
The intrusion sensor will revert to on each time the power swit ch is
turned to ON mode.
