Self-diagnosis device This model is equipped with a self-di-
agnosis device for the following electri-
cal circuits:
throttle position sensor

speed sensor
If any of those circuits are defective,
the tachometer will repeatedly display
the following error code:

Use the table below to identify the
faulty electrical circuit.CB-28EIf the tachometer displays such an er-
ror code, note the circuit-specific num-
ber of r/min, and then have a Yamaha
dealer check the motorcycle.
