example.
Ifyouholdthedoorhandlewhilelocking,this
canimpairthelockingfunction.
Thedoor cannotbeopenedforabriefperioddi-
rectlyafterlockingit.Thiswayyouhavethe op-
portunitytocheckifthedoorslockedcorrectly.
ThesettingsintheInfotainmentsystemdeter-
mineiftheentirevehicleoronlyoneofthedoors
isunlockedwhenunlockingthevehicle

— Theenergymanagementsystemgradually

foraslongaspossible.Youthenmayno
longerbeabletounlockyourvehiclewith
thesensors.

Whenlockingthevehiclewiththecentral locking
switch,
thefollowingapplies:
—Thedoorsandtheluggagecompartmentlid
cannotbeopenedfromtheoutsideforsecurity
reasons,suchastopreventunauthorizedopen-
ingwhilestoppedatalight.
—TheLEDinthecentral lockingswitchturnson
whenalldoorsareclosedandlocked.
—Youcanopenthedoorsindividuallyfromthein-
sidebypullingthedoorhandle.
—Intheeventofacrashwithairbagdeployment,
thedoorsunlockautomaticallytoallowaccess
tothevehicle.

ZAWARNING
— Thecentral lockingswitchalsoworkswhen
theignitionisswitchedoffandautomatical-
lylockstheentirevehiclewhenthe&button
ispressed.
—Thecentral lockingswitchisinoperative
when
thevehicleislockedfromtheoutside.
—Lockeddoorsmakeitmoredifficultfor
emergencyworkerstoenterthevehicle,
whichputslivesatrisk.Donotleaveanyone
