neverconnectthenegativegroundcableto
thebatterynegativepostbecausethebattery
managersystemmustbeabletodetect the
battery'sstateofcharge.Alwaysconnectthe
negativegroundcabletothenegativeground
postofthebatterymanagercontrolunit.

afterapproximately30seconds.
»Oncetheenginewiththedrainedvehiclebat-
teryhasbeenstarted,removethecablesinthe
reverseorderfromthewaytheywereinstalled.
>Closetheredcoveronthepositiveterminal.
Thebatteryisventedtotheoutsidetoprevent
gasesfromenteringthevehicleinterior.Make
surethatthejumperclampsarewellconnected
withtheirmetalpartsin fullcontactwiththe
batteryterminals.
