Regular,propercarehelpstomaintainyourvehi-
cle'svalue.Itcanalsobearequirementwhen
submittingwarrantyclaimsforcorrosiondamage
andpaintdefectsonthebody.
Therequiredcleaningandcareproductscanbe
obtained
fromanauthorizedAudidealerorau-
thorizedServiceFacility.Readandfollowthein-
structionsforuseonthepackaging.

—Alwaysstorecleaningandcareproductsout

Carwashes
Thelongerthat depositssuchasinsects,bird
droppings,treesaporroadsaltremain ontheve-
hicle,themorethesurfacecanbedamaged.High
temperaturessuchasthosecausedbysunlight
increasethedamagingeffect.
Beforewashing,rinseoffheavydepositswith
plentyofwater.
Stubborndepositssuchasbirddroppingsortree
saparebestremovedwithplentyofwateranda
microfibercloth.
Also,washtheundersideofyourvehicleonce
roadsaltstops beingusedfortheseason.
Pressurewashers
Whenwashingyourvehiclewithapressurewash-
er,alwaysfollowthe operatinginstructions pro-
videdwiththepressurewasher.Thisisespecially
importantinregardtothepressureandspraying
distance.Donotaimthespraydirectlyatthe
sealsonthesidewindows,doors,lidsorthesun-
roof*orattires,rubberhoses,insulatingmateri-
al,sensors*orcameralenses*.Keepadistanceof
atleast16in(40cm).
Donotremovesnowandicewithapressure
washer.
Neveruseconenozzlesorhighpressurenozzles.
Thewatertemperaturemustnotbeabove140°F
(60°C).
Automaticcarwash
Sprayoffthevehiclebeforewashing.
Makesurethatthewindowsandroof*areclosed
andthewindshieldwipersareoff.Followinstruc-
tionsfromthecarwashoperator,especiallyif
thereareaccessoriesattachedtoyourvehicle.
Ifpossible,usecarwashesthatdonothave
brushes.
Washingbyhand
Cleanthevehiclestartingfromthetopandwork-
ingdownwardusingasoftspongeorcleaning
brush.Usesolvent-freecleaningproducts.
Washingvehicleswithmattefinishpaintby
hand
Toreducetheriskofdamagingthepaintwhen
washing,firstremovedustandlargeparticles
fromyourvehicle.Insects,greasespots,andfin-
gerprintsarebestremovedwithaspecialcleaner
formattefinishpaint.
Applytheproductusingamicrofibercloth.Tore-
ducetheriskofdamagingthepaintsurface,do
notuse toomuchpressure.
Rinsethevehiclethoroughlywithwater.Then
cleanusinganeutralshampooandasoftmicro-
fibercloth.
Rinsethevehiclethoroughlyagainandletitair
dry.Removeanywaterresidueusingachamois.
