—Passengerswhoareunbelted,outofposi-

ouslyinjuredbyanairbagasitunfoldswith
greatforceintheblinkofaneye.
—Alwaysmakesurethatthereareatleast
10inches(25cm)betweenthefrontpas-
senger‘sbreastboneandtheinstrument
panel.
—Eachpassengermustalwayssitonaseat of
theirownandproperlyfastenandwearthe
safetybeltbelongingtothatseat.
—Beforedriving,alwaysadjustthefrontpas-
sengerseatandheadrestraintproperly.
—Alwayskeepyourfeetonthefloorinfrontof
theseat.Neverrestthemontheseat,in-
strumentpanel,outofthewindow,etc.The
airbagsystemandsafetybeltwillnot be
abletoprotectyouproperlyandcanevenin-
creasetheriskofinjuryinacrash.
—Neverdrivewiththebackrestreclinedortilt-
edfarback!Thefartherthebackrestsare
tiltedback,thegreatertheriskofinjurydue
toincorrectpositioningofthesafetybelt
andimproperseatingposition.

Properseatingpositionsforpassengersin
rearseats
Rearseatpassengersmustsituprightwithboth
feetonthefloorconsistentwiththeirphysical
sizeandbeproperlyrestrainedwhenevertheve-
hicleisinuse.
