vehicleisdesignedtorecordsuchdataas:>

drivingconditionsandnopersonaldata(e.g.,

forcement,couldcombinetheEDRdatawiththe

Toreaddata recordedby anEDR,specialequip-
mentisrequired,andaccesstothevehicleorthe
EDRisneeded.Inadditiontothevehiclemanu-
facturer,otherparties,suchaslawenforcement,

formationifthey haveaccesstothevehicleorthe
EDR.
Somestatelawsrestricttheretrievalordown-
loadingofdatastoredbyEDRsinstalledinavehi-
clefortheexpresspurposeofretrievingdataaf-
teranaccidentorcrasheventwithouttheown-
er'sconsent.
AudiwillnotaccesstheEDRand/orsimilardata
orgiveittoothers-
—unlessthevehicleowner(orlesseeifthevehi-
