hiclewillnotlock.
>Tocheckifthefunctionhasbeendeactivated,
waitatleast10secondsandpullthedoorhan-
dleagain.Thedoorshouldnotopen.
Afterthat,itwillonlybepossibletounlockthe
vehicleusingtheremotecontrolkeyorbyme-
chanicallyunlocking thelockcylinder.Keylessac-
cesswillbeactiveagainafterthenexttimethe
vehicleislocked/unlocked.
Youcanunlock/lockthevehicleateverydoor.The
conveniencekeymustnobemorethanapproxi-
mately5 feet(1.5m)awayfromthedoorhandle.
Thefunctionshouldnot beimpairedifthecon-
veniencekeyisinyourjacketpocketorinyour
briefcase,forexample.
Ifyouholdthedoorhandlewhilelocking,this
can impair thelockingfunction.
Thedoor cannotbeopenedforabriefperioddi-
rectlyafterlockingit.Thiswayyouhavethe op-
portunitytocheckifthedoorslockedcorrectly.
ThesettingsintheInfotainmentsystemdeter-
mineiftheentirevehicleoronlyoneofthedoors
isunlockedwhenunlockingthevehicle

—Topreventthevehiclebatteryfromdis-
charging,theenergymanagementgradual-
lyswitchesoffconveniencefunctionsthat
arenotneeded.Youthenmaynolongerbe
abletounlockyourvehiclewiththesensors.

Whenlockingthevehiclewiththecentrallocking

—Thedoorsandtheluggagecompartmentlid
cannotbeopenedfromtheoutsideforsecurity
reasons,suchastopreventunauthorizedopen-
ingwhilestoppedatalight.
—TheLEDinthecentrallockingswitchturnson
whenalldoorsareclosedandlocked.
—Youcanopenthedoorsindividuallyfromthein-
sidebypullingthedoorhandle.
—Intheeventofacrashwithairbagdeployment,
thedoorsunlockautomaticallytoallowaccess
tothevehicle.
