In
places

a
shaft
mustpass
through
a
housing,
flexible
lip
seals
areused
to
keep
the
lubricating
oil
or
grease
from
leak-

past

shaft

Seals
should
never
be
reused

once
they
have
been
removed
.
When
removing
a
seal,
be
care-
ful
not

scratch
or
otherwise
damage
the
metal
surfaces

Even
minor
damage
to
sealing
surfaces
can

and
leakage

The
key
to

installation

to
get
the

driver

seal
housing
to
