Memory Features
If equipped, memory seats allow two
drivers to save and recall their
unique seat positions for driving the
vehicle. Other feature positions may
also be saved, such as power
mirrors and power steering wheel,
if equipped. Memory positions are
linked to RKE transmitter 1 or 2 for
automatic memory recalls.
Before saving, adjust all available
memory feature positions. Turn the
ignition on and then press and
release MEM; a beep will sound.Then immediately press and hold 1
or 2 until two beeps sound. To
manually recall these positions,
press and hold 1 or 2 until the
saved position is reached.
When Seat Entry Memory is
enabled in the personalization
menu, positions previously saved to
memory buttons 1 and 2 are
recalled when the ignition is
changed from off to on or ACC/
ACCESSORY.
When Seat Exit Memory is enabled
in the personalization menu, the
feature automatically moves the
driver seat rearward when exiting
the vehicle.
Memory adjustments may not be
available upon delivery or after
service until steps in
“Saving
Memory Positions” section are
performed. See Memory Seats064.
Heated and Ventilated
Seats
If equipped, the buttons are near the
climate controls on the center stack.
To operate, the engine must be
running.
Press
MorLto heat the driver or
passenger seat cushion.
Press
Cor{to ventilate the driver
or passenger seat.
Press the button once for the
highest setting. With each press of
the button, the seat will change to
the next lower setting, and then to

will light up in the corresponding
outside mirror and will flash if the
turn signal is on. The Side Blind
Zone Alert (SBZA) system is
included as part of the LCA system.

Rear Vision
Camera (RVC)
RVC displays a view of the area
behind the vehicle on the
infotainment display when the
vehicle is shifted into R (Reverse) to
aid with parking and low-speed
backing maneuvers.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert
(RCTA) System
If equipped, the RCTA system
shows a triangle with an arrow on
the infotainment display to warn of traffic behind your vehicle that may
cross your vehicle's path while in
R (Reverse). In addition, beeps will
sound, or the driver seat will pulse.

Park Assist
If equipped, Rear Park Assist (RPA)
uses sensors on the rear bumper to
assist with parking and avoiding
objects while in R (Reverse).
It operates at speeds less than
8 km/h (5 mph). RPA may show a
warning triangle on the infotainment
display and a graphic on the
instrument cluster to provide the
object distance. In addition, multiple
beeps may occur if very close to an
object.
The vehicle may also have the Front
Park Assist (FPA) system.

Power Outlets
The 12-volt power outlets can be
used to plug in electrical equipment,
such as a cell phone or MP3 player.
The vehicle may have accessory
power outlets:

Below the climate controls.
. In the cargo area, if equipped.
The outlet is powered when the
ignition is on or in ACC/
ACCESSORY, or until the driver
door is opened within 10 minutes of
turning off the vehicle. See Retained

Leaving children in a vehicle with
a Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
transmitter is dangerous and
children or others could be
seriously injured or killed. They
could operate the power windows
or other controls or make the
vehicle move. The windows will
function with the RKE transmitter
in the vehicle, and children or
others could be caught in the path
of a closing window. Do not leave
children in a vehicle with an RKE
transmitter.

Identifying Driver Number
To identify the driver number:
To identify the driver number, start
the vehicle with a key or RKE
transmitter. The DIC will display the
driver number, either 1 or 2. The
other key or RKE transmitter will
correspond to the driver number that
was not displayed.
Saving Memory Positions
Read these instructions completely
before saving memory positions.
To save preferred driving positions
1 and 2:1. Turn the ignition on or to ACC/ ACCESSORY.
A DIC welcome message may
be displayed indicating number
1 or 2 for memory recalls.
2. Adjust all available memory features to the desired driving
position.
3. Press and release MEM; a beep will sound. 4. Immediately press and hold the
1 or 2 memory button matching
the above DIC welcome
message until two beeps
sound.
If too much time passes
between releasing MEM and
pressing 1, the memory
position will not be saved and
two beeps will not sound.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4.
1 or 2 corresponds to the driver
number. See “Identifying Driver
Number” previously in this
section.
5. Repeat Steps 1–4 for a second driver using the other 1 or
2 memory button.
Positions are not saved for the Seat
Exit Memory feature, which moves
the driver seat rearward.
Save preferred memory feature
positions to both 1 and 2 if you are
the only driver. Manually Recalling Memory
Positions
Press and hold 1 or 2 to recall the
previously saved memory positions.
To stop Manual Memory Recall
movement, release 1 or 2 or press
any of the following controls:
.
Power seat
. Memory MEM
. Power mirror, with the driver or
passenger side mirror selected
. Power steering wheel,
if equipped
Seat Entry Memory Recall
The vehicle identifies the number of
the current driver ’s RKE transmitter
(1–8). See Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) System Operation 029. If the
RKE transmitter is 1 or 2, and Seat
Entry Memory is programmed on in
vehicle personalization, the
positions saved to the same
memory button number 1 or 2 are
automatically recalled when the
ignition is turned on, or turned from

off to ACC/ACCESSORY. RKE
transmitters 3–8 will not provide
automatic memory recalls.
To turn Seat Entry Memory on or off,
see "Vehicle Personalization
Settings" previously in this section
andVehicle Personalization 0153.
The shift lever must be in P (Park)
to start Seat Entry Memory. Seat
Entry Memory will complete if the
vehicle is shifted out of P (Park)
prior to reaching the saved memory
position.
To stop Seat Entry Memory
movement, turn the ignition off or
press any of the following memory
controls:
. Power seat
. Memory MEM, 1, or 2
. Power mirror, with the driver or
passenger side mirror selected
. Power steering wheel
If the saved memory seat position
does not automatically recall or
recalls to the wrong positions, the
driver ’s RKE transmitter number (1
or 2) may not match the memory button number that positions were
saved to. Try saving the position to
the other memory button or try the
other RKE transmitter.
Seat Exit Memory
Seat Exit Memory is not linked to an
RKE transmitter. To turn Seat Exit
Memory on or off, see "Vehicle
Personalization Settings" previously
in this section and
Vehicle
Personalization 0153.
If turned on, the driver seat
automatically moves rearward to
allow more room to exit the vehicle
when one of the following occurs:
. The vehicle is turned off and the
driver door is opened within a
short time.
. The vehicle is turned off with the
driver door open.
To stop Seat Exit Memory
movement, press any of the
following memory controls:
. Power seat
. Memory MEM, 1, or 2 .
Power mirror, with the driver or
passenger side mirror selected
. Power steering wheel,
if equipped
Obstructions
If something has blocked the driver
seat and/or power steering wheel
while recalling a memory position,
the recall may stop. Remove the
obstruction and try the recall again.
If the memory position still does not
recall, see your dealer for service.
Heated and Ventilated
Front Seats
{Warning
If temperature change or pain to
the skin cannot be felt, the seat
heater may cause burns. To
reduce the risk of burns, use care
when using the seat heater,
especially for long periods of
time. Do not place anything on
the seat that insulates against (Continued)

Front Pedestrian Detection
This feature may help avoid or
reduce the harm caused by
front-end crashes with nearby
pedestrians.

Touch Off, Alert, or Alert and Brake.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
This allows the Rear Cross Traffic
Alert feature to be turned on or off.

Touch Off or On.
Adaptive Cruise Go Notifier
This feature will give a reminder that
Adaptive Cruise Control provides
when it has brought the vehicle to a
complete stop behind another
stopping vehicle, and then that
vehicle drives on.
Touch Off or On. See Adaptive
Cruise Control 0210. Lane Change Alert
The LCA system is a lane-changing
aid that assists drivers with avoiding
lane change crashes. See
Lane
Change Alert (LCA) 0227.
When Lane Change Alert is
disabled, Side Blind Zone Alert is
also disabled.
Touch Off or On.
Comfort and Convenience
Touch and the following may
display:
. Chime Volume
. Hands Free Liftgate Control
. Reverse Tilt Mirror
. Auto Wipe in Reverse Gear
. Extended Hill Start Assist
Chime Volume
This determines the chime volume
level.
Touch the controls on the
infotainment display to adjust the
volume. Hands Free Liftgate Control
The liftgate may be operated with a
kicking motion under the rear
bumper. See
Liftgate041.
Touch Off, On-Open and Close,
or On-Open Only.
Reverse Tilt Mirror
When on, the driver and/or
passenger mirrors will tilt downward
when the vehicle is shifted to
R (Reverse) to improve visibility of
the ground near the rear wheels.
They will return to their previous
driving position when the vehicle is
shifted out of R (Reverse) or the
engine is turned off. See Reverse
Tilt Mirrors 052.
Touch Off, On - Driver and
Passenger, On - Driver, or On -
Passenger.
Auto Wipe in Reverse Gear
Select to set the Auto Wipe in
Reverse Gear feature on or off.
When on, and the front wipers are
on, the rear window wiper will turn
on automatically when the vehicle is
shifted into R (Reverse).

Rear Window Defogger
K:Press to turn the rear window
defogger on or off. An indicator light
on the control comes on to show
that the rear window defogger is on.
The rear window defogger only
works when the engine is running.
It turns off when the ignition is
turned off or in ACC/ACCESSORY.
The rear window defogger can be
set to automatic operation. See
“Climate and Air Quality” under
Vehicle Personalization 0153.
When Auto Rear Defog is selected,
the rear window defogger turns on
automatically when the interior
temperature is cold and the outside
temperature is about 4 °C (40 °F)
and below. The auto rear defogger
turns off automatically after about
10 minutes, or after five minutes if
the outside temperature is not
as cold.
The upper gridlines on the rear
window are antenna lines and are
not intended to heat when the
defogger is activated. The heated outside mirrors turn on
when the rear window defogger
control is on and help to clear fog or
frost from the surface of the mirror.

Caution
Do not try to clear frost or other
material from the inside of the
front windshield and rear window
with a razor blade or anything
else that is sharp. This may
damage the rear window
defogger grid and affect the
radio's ability to pick up stations
clearly. The repairs would not be
covered by the vehicle warranty.
Heated and Ventilated Seats
LorM:If equipped, pressLorMto heat the driver or passenger seat.

passenger seat. See Heated and
Ventilated Seats 013. Remote Start Climate Control
Operation :
If equipped with remote
start, the climate control system
may run when the vehicle is started
remotely. If equipped with heated or
ventilated seats, they may come on
during a remote start. See Remote
Vehicle Start 035 and Heated and
Ventilated Seats 013.
Sensors
The solar sensor, on top of the
instrument panel near the
windshield, monitors the solar heat.
Do not cover the solar sensor or the
system will not work properly.
The climate control system uses the
sensor information to adjust the
temperature, fan speed,
recirculation, and air delivery mode
for best comfort.
Do not cover the sensor; otherwise
the automatic climate control system
may not work properly.
