Tire Pressure: Shows the
approximate pressures of all four
tires. Tire pressure is displayed in
either kilopascal (kPa) or in pounds
per square inch (psi). If the pressure
is low, the value for that tire is
shown in amber. See Tire Pressure
Monitor System on page 10-49 and
Tire Pressure Monitor Operation on
page 10-50.
Vehicle Odometer (Base
Cluster): Shows the odometer.
Blank Page: The Blank Page
display allows for no information to
be displayed in the DIC display
zone(s).Head-Up Display (HUD)
{Warning
If the HUD image is too bright or
too high in your field of view, it
may take you more time to see
things you need to see when it is
dark outside. Be sure to keep the
HUD image dim and placed low in
your field of view.
If equipped with HUD, some
information concerning the
operation of the vehicle is projected
onto the windshield. The information
is projected through the HUD lens
on the driver side of the instrument
panel and focused out toward the
front of the vehicle.
{Caution
If you try to use the HUD image
as a parking aid, you may
misjudge the distance and
damage your vehicle. Do not use
the HUD image as a parking aid.
The HUD information can be
displayed in various languages. The
speedometer reading and other
numerical values can be displayed
in either English or metric units.
The language selection is changed
through the radio and the units of
measurement is changed through
the instrument cluster. See Vehicle
Personalization on page 5-43 and
“Settings” underInstrument Cluster
on page 5-10.

HUD Views
There are four views in the HUD.
Some vehicle information and
vehicle messages or alerts may be
displayed in any view.
Metric

Speed View: This display gives the
speedometer reading (in English or
metric units), Adaptive Cruise
Control speed, Forward Collision
Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and
Vehicle Ahead indicator. Some information only appears on
vehicles that have these features,
and when they are active.
Metric

Audio/Phone View: This display
includes the information in speed
view along with audio/phone
information. The current radio
station, media type, and incoming
calls will be displayed. All HUD views may briefly display
audio information when the driver
uses the steering wheel controls to
adjust the audio settings appearing
in the instrument cluster.
Incoming phone calls appearing in
the instrument cluster, may also
display in any HUD view.

Vehicle
Personalization
Use the audio system controls to
access the personalization menus
for customizing vehicle features.
The following are all possible
personalization features. Depending
on the vehicle, some may not be
available.
Base Radio Audio System
Controls
MENU:Press the center of the
knob to enter the menus and select
menu items. Turn the knob to scroll
through the menus.
SBACK: Press to exit or move
backward in a menu.
To access the
personalization menu:
1. On the Home page, turn the
MENU knob to highlight Settings
and press the MENU knob. 2. Turn the MENU knob to highlight
the desired feature and press
the MENU knob.
CUE Infotainment System Audio
System Controls
To access the
personalization menu:
1. Press SETTINGS on the Home page on the infotainment system
display.
2. Press the desired feature to display a list of available
options.
3. Press to select the desired feature setting.
4. Press the[Back screen button
to return to the previous menu.

Time and Date
Manually set the time and date. See
Clock (Base Radio) on page 5-6 or
Clock (Uplevel Radio) on page 5-6.
Language [Language]
Select Language, then select from
the available language(s).
Select the language. The selected
language will display on the system,
and voice recognition will reflect the
selected language.

Valet Mode
This will lock the infotainment
system, the infotainment controls,
and screen storage location.
To turn Valet Mode on and off, enter
a four-digit code on the keypad.
Press Enter to go to the
confirmation screen. Re-enter the
four-digit code. Press LOCK to lock
the system. Enter the four-digit code
to unlock the system. Press the
Back screen button to go back to
the previous menu.
Radio
Press to display the Radio Menu
and the following may display:
.Manage Favorites
.Number of Favorites Pages
.Audible Touch Feedback
.Auto Volume
.Bose Audio Pilot
.Maximum Start Up Volume
.Audio Cue VolumeManage Favorites
This allows favorites to be edited.
Select a displayed Favorite to select
that favorite to edit. Select Rename
to rename the favorite or Delete to
delete it.
Number of Favorites Pages
Select to set the number of favorites
to display.
Select the desired number or select
Auto and the infotainment system
will automatically adjust the number
of favorite shown.
Audible Touch Feedback
This allows Audible Touch
Feedback to be turned on or off.
Select Off or On.
Auto Volume
If equipped, this feature adjusts the
volume based on the vehicle speed.
Bose Audio Pilot
This feature adjusts the volume
based on the noise in the vehicle.

“Bose AudioPilot Noise
Compensation Technology” under
“Infotainment System Settings” in
the infotainment manual.
Maximum Startup Volume
This feature sets the maximum
startup volume. If the vehicle is
started and the volume is greater
than this level, the volume is
adjusted to this level. To set the
maximum startup volume, select +
or −to increase or decrease.
Audio Cue Volume
If equipped, this feature adjusts the
startup and shutdown sounds. To
adjust the volume, select + or −to
increase or decrease.

This allows selection to restore
radio settings.
Select Cancel or Restore.
Software Information
Select to view the infotainment
system current software information.

System

Universal Remote System
Programming
If equipped, these buttons are in the
overhead console.
This system can replace up to three
remote control transmitters used to
activate devices such as garage
door openers, security systems, and home automation devices. These
instructions refer to a garage door
opener, but can be used for other
devices.
Do not use the Universal Remote
system with any garage door opener
that does not have the stop and
reverse feature. This includes any
garage door opener model
manufactured before April 1, 1982.
Read these instructions completely
before programming the Universal
Remote system. It may help to have
another person assist with the
programming process.
Keep the original hand-held
transmitter for use in other vehicles
as well as for future programming.
Erase the programming when
vehicle ownership is terminated.
See
“Erasing Universal Remote
System Buttons” later in this
section.

To program a garage door opener,
park outside directly in line with and
facing the garage door opener
receiver. Clear all people and
objects near the garage door.
Make sure the hand-held transmitter
has a new battery for quick and
accurate transmission of the
radio-frequency signal.
Programming the Universal
Remote System
For questions or help programming
the Universal Remote system, call
1-800-355-3515 or see
www.homelink.com.
Programming involves
time-sensitive actions, and may time
out causing the procedure to be
repeated.
To program up to three devices:
1. Hold the end of the hand-heldtransmitter about 3 to 8 cm (1 to
3 in) away from the Universal
Remote system buttons with the
indicator light in view. The hand-held transmitter was
supplied by the manufacturer of
the garage door opener receiver.
2. At the same time, press and hold both the hand-held
transmitter button and one of the
three Universal Remote system
buttons to be used to operate
the garage door. Do not release
either button until the indicator
light changes from a slow to a
rapid flash. Then release both
buttons.
Some garage door openers may
require substitution of Step 2
with the procedure under in
“Radio Signals for Canada and
Some Gate Operators” later in
this section.
3. Press and hold the newly programmed Universal Remote
system button for five seconds
while watching the indicator light
and garage door activation.
.If the indicator light stays on
continuously or the garage
door moves when the button is pressed, then
programming is complete.
There is no need to
complete Steps 4–6.
.If the indicator light does
not come on or the garage
door does not move, a
second button press may
be required. For a second
time, press and hold the
newly programmed button
for five seconds. If the light
stays on or the garage door
moves, programming is
complete.
.If the indicator light blinks
rapidly for two seconds,
then changes to a solid light
and the garage door does
not move, continue with
programming Steps 4–6.

Learn or Smart Button
4. After completing Steps 1–3, locate the Learn or Smart button
inside the garage on the garage
door opener receiver. The name
and color of the button may vary
by manufacturer.
5. Press and release the Learn or Smart button. Step 6 must be
completed within 30 seconds of
pressing this button.
6. Inside the vehicle, press and hold the newly programmed
Universal Remote system button
for two seconds and then
release it. If the garage door
does not move or the lamp on
the garage door opener receiver does not flash, press and hold
the same button a second time
for two seconds, then release it.
Again, if the door does not move
or the garage door lamp does
not flash, press and hold the
same button a third time for
two seconds, then release it.
The Universal Remote system
should now activate the
garage door.
Repeat the process for
programming the two remaining
buttons.

Some Gate Operators

Canadian radio-frequency laws and
some U.S. gate operators require
transmitter signals to time out or quit
after several seconds of
transmission. This may not be long enough for the Universal Remote
system to pick up the signal during
programming.
If the programming did not work,
replace Step 2 under
“Programming
the Universal Remote System” with
the following:
Press and hold the Universal
Remote system button while
pressing and releasing the
hand-held transmitter button every
two seconds until the signal has
been successfully accepted by the
Universal Remote system. The
Universal Remote system indicator
light will flash slowly at first and then
rapidly. Proceed with Step 3 under
“Programming the Universal Remote
System” to complete.

Infotainment
Read the following pages to
become familiar with the
infotainment system featured in this
owner manual.
{Warning
Taking your eyes off the road for
too long or too often while using
any infotainment features can
cause a crash resulting in injury
or death. Do not give extended
attention to infotainment tasks
while driving. Focus your attention
on driving and limit glances to the
instrument cluster or center stack
screens. Use voice guidance
whenever possible.
The infotainment system has built-in
features intended to help with this
by disabling some functions when
driving. A grayed-out function is not

available when the vehicle is
moving. All functions are available
when the vehicle is parked.
Before driving:
.Become familiar with the
infotainment system operation
and buttons on the faceplate.
.Set up the audio by presetting
favorite stations, setting the
tone, and adjusting the
speakers.
.Set up phone numbers in
advance so they can be called
easily by pressing a single
button or by using a single voice
command for vehicles equipped
with phone capability.

This vehicle’s infotainment system
may be equipped with a noise
reduction system, which can work
improperly if the audio amplifier,
engine calibrations, exhaust system,
microphones, radio, or speakers are modified or replaced. This could
result in more noticeable engine
noise at certain speeds.
The vehicle has Retained
Accessory Power (RAP). With RAP,
the audio system can be played
even after the ignition is turned off.

The base radio is included in this
manual. See the CUE infotainment
manual for information on the CUE
radio, audio players, phone,
navigation system, and voice or
speech recognition. There is also
information on settings and
downloadable applications (if
equipped).
Theft-Deterrent Feature
TheftLock®is designed to
discourage theft of the vehicle's
radio by learning a portion of the
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
The radio does not operate if it is
stolen or moved to a different
vehicle.
