To scan preset stations, press and hold SCAN for more
than two seconds until you hear a beep. The radio will
go to the first preset station stored on your pushbuttons,
play for five seconds, then go on to the next preset
station. Press SCAN again to stop scanning. The radio
will scan preset stations with a strong signal only.Setting Preset Stations
The six numbered pushbuttons let you return to your
favorite stations and associated tone and DSP settings.
The RDS PTY mode must be off to use this mode.
You can set up to 24 stations (six AM, six FM1, six FM2
and six weather), by performing the following steps:
1. Turn the radio on.
2. Press BAND to select AM, FM1, FM2 or weather.
3. Tune in the desired station.
4. Press and hold one of the six numbered pushbuttons
for more than two seconds. Whenever you press that
numbered pushbutton for less than two seconds,
the station you set will return.
5. Repeat the steps for each pushbutton.
When battery power is removed and later applied,
you will not have to reset your radio presets because
the radio remembers them.

1. Check the other vehicle. It must have a 12-volt
battery with a negative ground system.
NOTICE:
If the other system isn't a 12-volt system with a
negative ground, both vehicles can be damaged.
2. Get the vehicles close enough so the jumper cables
can reach, but be sure the vehicles aren't touching
each other. If they are, it could cause a ground
connection you don't want. You wouldn't be able
to start your vehicle, and the bad grounding could
damage the electrical systems.
To avoid the possibility of the vehicles rolling, set
the parking brake firmly on both vehicles involved in
the jump start procedure. Put an automatic transaxle
in PARK (P) or a manual transaxle in NEUTRAL
before setting the parking brake.
NOTICE:
If you leave your radio on, it could be badly
damaged. The repairs wouldn't be covered by
your warranty.
3. Turn off the ignition on both vehicles. Unplug
unnecessary accessories plugged into the cigarette
lighter. Turn off the radio and all lamps that aren't
needed. This will avoid sparks and help save both
batteries. And it could save your radio!
4. Open the hoods and locate the positive (+) and
negative (
-) terminal locations on the other vehicle.
Your vehicle has a remote positive (+) jump starting
terminal and a remote negative (
-) jump starting
terminal. You should always use these remote
terminals instead of the terminals on the battery.
