This light comes on when My Mode is
selected. SeeDriver Mode Control

Four Corner Air Suspension
Light
This light comes on when the air
suspension is raised to maximum
ground clearance height.
This light comes on when the air
suspension is raised to increased
ground clearance height.
This light displays green when the
vehicle is changing to a higher ride
height.
This light comes on when the air
suspension is lowered for easy entry
and exit from the vehicle.
This light displays green when the
vehicle is changing to a lower ride
height.
This light comes on when the air
suspension is in Service Mode or
Alignment Mode.

Tire Pressure Light
If equipped with the Tire Pressure
Monitor System (TPMS), this light
comes on briefly when the vehicle is
started. It is located on the center

stack, below the infotainment screen.
It provides information about tire
pressures and the TPMS.
When the Light Is On Steady
This indicates that one or more of the
tires are significantly underinflated.
A Driver Information Center (DIC) tire
pressure message may also display.
Stop as soon as possible, and inflate
the tires to the pressure value shown
on the Tire and Loading Information
label. SeeTire Pressure 0409.
When the Light Flashes First and
Then Is On Steady
If the light flashes for about a minute
and then stays on, there may be a
problem with the TPMS. If the
problem is not corrected, the light will
come on every time the vehicle is
started. See Tire Pressure Monitor
Operation 0412.Engine Oil Pressure Light
Caution
Lack of proper engine oil
maintenance can damage the
engine. Driving with the engine oil
low can also damage the engine.
The repairs would not be covered
by the vehicle warranty. Check the
oil level as soon as possible. Add oil
if required, but if the oil level is
within the operating range and the
oil pressure is still low, have the
vehicle serviced. Always follow the
maintenance schedule for changing
engine oil.
This light should come on briefly as
the engine is started. If it does not
come on, have the vehicle serviced by
your dealer. If the light comes on and stays on, it
means that oil is not flowing through
the engine properly. The vehicle could
be low on oil and might have some
other system problem. See your dealer.
Low Fuel Warning Light
A Low Fuel Warning Light near the
fuel gauge comes on briefly when the
ignition is turned on as a check to
show it is working.
It also comes on when the fuel gauge
indicator nears empty. The light turns
off when fuel is added. If it does not,
have the vehicle serviced.

TRAILER GAIN shows the trailer gain
setting. This setting can be adjusted
from 0.0 to 10.0 with either a trailer
connected or disconnected.
TRAILER OUTPUT shows the power
output to the trailer any time a trailer
with electric brakes is connected.
Output is displayed as a bar graph.
Dotted lines may appear in the
OUTPUT display if a trailer is not
connected.
Oil Life :Shows an estimate of the
oil's remaining useful life.
If REMAINING OIL LIFE 99% is
displayed, that means 99% of the
current oil life remains.
When the remaining oil life is low, the
CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message
will appear on the display. The oil
should be changed as soon as
possible. See Engine Oil0373. In
addition to the engine oil life system
monitoring the oil life, additional
maintenance is recommended. See
Maintenance Schedule 0455.
The Oil Life display must be reset
after each oil change. It will not reset
itself. Do not reset the Oil Life display
accidentally at any time other than when the oil has just been changed.
It cannot be reset accurately until the
next oil change. To reset, see
Engine
Oil Life System 0375.
Fuel Economy : Displays information
about current and average fuel
economy.
Oil Pressure : Shows the engine oil
pressure in kPa (kilopascals)
or psi (pounds per square inch).
Engine Hours : Shows the total
number of hours the engine has run.
Coolant Temperature : Shows the
temperature of the coolant in either
degrees Celsius (°C) or degrees
Fahrenheit (°F).
Transmission Fluid Temperature :
Shows the temperature of the
automatic transmission fluid in either
degrees Celsius (°C) or degrees
Fahrenheit (°F).
Air Filter Life : Shows an estimate of
the engine air filter’s remaining useful
life and the state of the system.
Engine Air Filter Life 95% means 95%
of the current air filter life remains.
Messages will display based on the
engine air filter life and the state of the system. When the REPLACE AT
NEXT OIL CHANGE message displays,
the engine air filter should be replaced
at the time of the next oil change.
When the REPLACE SOON message
displays, the engine air filter should
be replaced at the earliest
convenience.
The Air Filter Life display must be
reset after the engine air filter
replacement. To reset, see
Engine Air
Filter Life System 0377.
Brake Pad Life : This displays an
estimate of the remaining life of the
front and rear brake pads. Messages
will display based on brake pad wear
and the state of the system. Reset the
Brake Pad Life display after replacing
the brake pads. See Brake Pad Life
System 0384.
Tire Pressure : Shows the
approximate pressures of all four tires.
Tire pressure is displayed in either
kilopascal (kPa) or in pounds per
square inch (psi). If the pressure is
low, the value for that tire is shown in
amber. See Tire Pressure Monitor
System 0411 and
Tire Pressure Monitor Operation 0412.

displayed in the cluster info display
areas.
Right Zone
Audio Now Playing : Displays the
actively playing audio.
Navigation : Displays a variety of
navigation information.
Audio and Navigation : Displays both
audio and navigation information
together.
Off : Allows for no information to be
displayed in the cluster info display
areas.
Vehicle Information
The following are all possible vehicle
information features.
To access the vehicle information
menu, press
Ton the Multi
Function Controller (MFC) or touch
Tfrom the list of home page icons
displayed on the left side of the
infotainment display.
The Vehicle Information App will
display 3 cards per page. The currently displayed page of cards
is remembered from the last ignition
cycle.

Head-Up Display (HUD)
{Warning
If the HUD image is too bright or
too high in your field of view, it
may take you more time to see
things you need to see when it is
dark outside. Be sure to keep the
HUD image dim and placed low in
your field of view.
If equipped with HUD, some
information about the operation of
the vehicle is projected onto the
windshield. The image is projected
through the HUD lens on top of the
instrument panel. The information
appears as an image focused out
toward the front of the vehicle.
Caution
If you try to use the HUD image as
a parking aid, you may misjudge
the distance and damage your
vehicle. Do not use the HUD image
as a parking aid.

Navigation turn-by-turn Alerts shown
in the instrument cluster may also be
displayed in any HUD view.
Care of the HUD
Clean the inside of the windshield to
remove any dirt or film that could
reduce the sharpness or clarity of the
HUD image.
Clean the HUD lens with a soft cloth
sprayed with glass cleaner. Wipe the
lens gently, then dry it.
HUD Troubleshooting
Check that:
.Nothing is covering the HUD lens.
.The HUD brightness setting is not
too dim or too bright.
.The HUD is adjusted to the proper
height.
.Polarized sunglasses are not worn.
.The windshield and HUD lens are
clean.
If the HUD image is not correct,
contact your dealer.
The windshield is part of the HUD
system. See Windshield Replacement

Vehicle Messages
Messages displayed on the DIC
indicate the status of the vehicle or
some action that may be needed to
correct a condition. Multiple messages
may appear one after another.
The messages that do not require
immediate action can be
acknowledged and cleared by pressing
the thumbwheel. The messages that
require immediate action cannot be
cleared until that action is performed.
All messages should be taken
seriously; clearing the message does
not correct the problem.
If a SERVICE message appears, see
your dealer.
Follow the instructions given in the
messages. The system displays

Engine Power Messages
REDUCED ACCELERATION DRIVE
WITH CARE
This message displays when the
vehicle's propulsion power is reduced.
A reduction in propulsion power can
affect the vehicle's ability to
accelerate. If this message is on, but
there is no observed reduction in
performance, proceed to your
destination. Under certain conditions
the performance may be reduced the
next time the vehicle is driven. The
vehicle may be driven while this
message is on, but maximum
acceleration and speed may be
reduced. Anytime this message stays

Vehicle Positioning
At times, the position of the vehicle
on the map could be inaccurate due to
one or more of the following reasons:
.The road system has changed.
.The vehicle is driving on slippery
road surfaces such as sand, gravel,
or snow.
.The vehicle is traveling on winding
roads or long, straight roads.
.The vehicle is approaching a tall
building or a large vehicle.
.The surface streets run parallel to a
freeway.
.The vehicle has been transferred by
a vehicle carrier or a ferry.
.The current position calibration is
set incorrectly.
.The vehicle is traveling at high
speed.
.The vehicle changes directions more
than once, or the vehicle is turning
on a turn table in a parking lot.
.The vehicle is entering and/or
exiting a parking lot, garage, or a lot
with a roof.
.The GPS signal is not received.
.A roof carrier is installed on the
vehicle.
.Tire chains are installed on the
vehicle.
.The tires are replaced or worn.
.The tire pressure for the tires is
incorrect.
.This is the first navigation use after
the map data is updated.
.The 12-volt battery has been
disconnected for several days.
.The vehicle is driving in heavy
traffic where driving is at low
speeds, and the vehicle is stopped
and started repeatedly.
Problems with Route
Guidance
Inappropriate route guidance can
occur under one or more of the
following conditions:
.The turn was not made on the road
indicated.
.Route guidance might not be
available when using automatic
rerouting for the next right or
left turn.
.The route might not be changed
when using automatic rerouting.
.There is no route guidance when
turning at an intersection.
.Plural names of places might be
announced occasionally.
.It could take a long time to operate
automatic rerouting during
high-speed driving.
.Automatic rerouting might display a
route returning to the set waypoint
if heading for a destination without
passing through a set waypoint.
.The route prohibits the entry of a
vehicle due to a regulation by time
or season or any other regulation
which may be given.
.Some routes might not be searched.
.The route to the destination might
not be shown if there are new roads,
if roads have recently changed, or if
certain roads are not listed in the
map data. See Maps0185.

Remember: Antilock brakes help avoid
only the braking skid.
Off-Road Driving
Four-wheel-drive vehicles can be used
for off-road driving. Vehicles without
four-wheel drive and vehicles not
equipped with All Terrain (AT) or
On-Off Road (OOR) tires must not be
driven off-road except on a level, solid
surface. For contact information about
the original equipment tires, see the
warranty manual.
One of the best ways for successful
off-road driving is to control the
speed.
{Warning
When driving off-road, bouncing
and quick changes in direction can
easily throw you out of position.
This could cause you to lose control
and crash. You and your passengers
should always wear seat belts.
Before Driving Off-Road
.Have all necessary maintenance and
service work completed.
.Fuel the vehicle, fill fluid levels, and
check inflation pressure in all tires,
including the spare, if equipped.
.Read all the information about
four-wheel-drive vehicles in this
manual.
.Know the local laws that apply to
off-road driving.
Loading the Vehicle for Off-Road
Driving
{Warning
.Unsecured cargo on the load
floor can be tossed about when
driving over rough terrain. You or
your passengers can be struck by
flying objects. Secure the cargo
properly.
.Keep cargo in the cargo area as
far forward and as low as
possible. The heaviest things
should be on the floor, forward
of the rear axle.
.Heavy loads on the roof raise the
vehicle's center of gravity,
making it more likely to roll over.
You can be seriously or fatally(Continued)

injured if the vehicle rolls over.
Put heavy loads inside the cargo
area, not on the roof.

Environmental Concerns
.Always use established trails, roads,
and areas that have been set aside
for public off-road recreational
driving and obey all posted
regulations.
.Do not damage shrubs, flowers,
trees, or grasses or disturb wildlife.
.Do not park over things that burn.

Driving on Hills
Driving safely on hills requires good
judgment and an understanding of
what the vehicle can and cannot do.

Do not load the vehicle any
heavier than the Gross Vehicle
Weight Rating (GVWR),
or either the maximum front or
rear Gross Axle Weight Rating
(GAWR). This can cause
systems to break and change
the way the vehicle handles.
This could cause loss of control
and a crash. Overloading can
also reduce stopping
performance, damage the tires,
and shorten the life of the
vehicle.Tire and Loading Information Label
Label Example
A vehicle specific Tire and
Loading Information label is
attached to the center pillar
(B-pillar). The tire and loading
information label shows the
number of occupant seating
positions (1), and the maximum
vehicle capacity weight (2) in
kilograms and pounds. The Tire and Loading Information
label also shows the size of the
original equipment tires (3) and
the recommended cold tire
inflation pressures (4). For more
information on tires and inflation

Tires 0402 and
Tire Pressure 0409.
There is also important loading
information on the vehicle
Certification/Tire label. It may
show the Gross Vehicle Weight
Rating (GVWR) and the Gross Axle
Weight Rating (GAWR) for the
front and rear axles. See
“Certification/Tire Label” later in
this section.
