ded to help troubleshoot electrical
problems and as a an additi onal source to help understand the complex wiring
utilized by these vehicles. No attempt has been made to illustrate most
components as they physica lly appear, instead, represent ations are used to
simplify the diagram. When working on a system, locate the component and use
the wire color codes to help trace the circuit.

TANK PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE 1. Disconnect the hoses fr om the control valve.
2. Remove the mounting hardware.
3. Remove the control valve from the vehicle.
4. Installation is the reverse of the re moval procedure. Refer to the Vehicle
Emission Control Information (VECI) label, located in the engine
compartment (if present) or the diagram s found later in this section, for
proper routing of the vacuum hoses.

combinations covered by this informati on. Because vacuum circuits will vary
based on various engine and v ehicle options, always refer first to the vehicle
emission control information label, if present. Should the label be missing, or
should vehicle be equipped with a different engine from the vehicle's original
equipment, refer to the diagrams below for the same or similar configuration.
If you wish to obtain a replacement emi ssions label, most manufacturers make
the labels available for purc hase. The labels can usually be ordered from a local
dealer.
