Engine Oil Life System
The engine oil life system calculatesengine oil life based on vehicle useand, on most vehicles, displays aDriver Information Center (DIC)message when it is necessary tochange the engine oil and filter. Theoil life system should be reset to100% only following an oil change.
Resetting the Oil Life System
To r e s e t t h e e n g i n e o i l l i f e s y s t e m :
1. Display OIL LIFE REMAININGon the DIC. SeeDriverInformation Center (DIC) (BaseLevel)0126orDriverInformation Center (DIC)(Uplevel)0129.Ifthevehicledoes not have DIC buttons, thevehicle must be in P (Park) toaccess this display.
2. Press and holdVon the DIC,
or SET/CLR on the turn signallever if the vehicle does nothave DIC buttons, for severalseconds. The oil life willchange to 100%.
The oil life system can also be resetas follows:
1. Display OIL LIFE REMAININGon the DIC. SeeDriverInformation Center (DIC) (BaseLevel)0126orDriverInformation Center (DIC)(Uplevel)0129.
2. Fully press the acceleratorpedal slowly three times withinfive seconds. If the displayshows 100%, the system isreset.

Driving for Better Fuel
Economy
Driving habits can affect fuelmileage. Here are some driving tipsto get the best fuel economypossible.
.Avoid fast starts and acceleratesmoothly.
.Brake gradually and avoidabrupt stops.
.Avoid idling the engine for longperiods of time.
.When road and weatherconditions are appropriate, usecruise control.
.Always follow posted speedlimits or drive more slowly whenconditions require.
.Keep vehicle tires properlyinflated.
.Combine several trips into asingle trip.
.Replace the vehicle's tires withthe same TPC Spec numbermolded into the tire's sidewallnear the size.
.Follow recommended scheduledmaintenance.

instrument cluster. Both tractioncontrol and StabiliTrak areautomatically disabled in thiscondition.
The indicator light for both systemsis in the instrument cluster. Thislight will:
.Flash when TCS is limitingwheel spin.
.Flash when StabiliTrak isactivated.
.Turn on and stay on when eithersystem is not working.
If either system fails to turn on or toactivate, a message displays in theDriver Information Center (DIC), anddcomes on and stays on toindicate that the system is inactiveand is not assisting the driver in
maintaining control. The vehicle issafe to drive, but driving should beadjusted accordingly.
Ifdcomes on and stays on:
1. Stop the vehicle.
2. Turn the engine off and wait15 seconds.
3. Start the engine.
Drive the vehicle. Ifdcomes on
and stays on, the vehicle may needmore time to diagnose the problem.If the condition persists, see yourdealer.
Turning the Systems Off
and On
The button for TCS and StabiliTrakis on the center stack.
Caution
Do not repeatedly brake or
accelerate heavily when TCS is
off. The vehicle driveline could be
damaged.

Trailer Brakes
Aloadedtrailerthatweighsmorethan 900 kg (2,000 lb) needs to haveits own brake system that isadequate for the weight of thetrailer. Be sure to read and followthe instructions for the trailer brakesso they are installed, adjusted, andmaintained properly.
Trailer Wiring Harness
For vehicles not equipped withheavy-duty trailering, a harness issecured underneath the left side ofthe vehicle, next to the spare tire.The harness requires the installationof a trailer connector, which isavailable through your dealer. Theseven-wire harness contains thefollowing trailer circuits:
.Ye l l o w : L e f t s t o p / t u r n s i g n a l
.Green: Right stop/turn signal
.Brown: Taillamps/parking lamps
.Black: Ground
.Gray: Back-up lamps
.Orange: Battery feed
.Blue: Trailer brake
To h e l p c h a r g e a r e m o t e(non-vehicle) battery, press the Tow/Haul Mode button on the centerstack. If the trailer is too light forTo w / H a u l M o d e , t u r n o n t h eheadlamps to help charge thebattery.
Trailer Brake Control Wiring
Harness
Afour-wireharness,withoutconnector, is secured behind the leftside kick panel. The harnesscontains the following circuits:
.Red/Green: Battery feed
.Black: Ground
.White/Blue: Brake signal tocontroller
.Blue: Trailer Brake power totrailer connector
To r e m o v e t h e l e f t s i d e k i c k p a n e l ,start at the front of the panel pullingtoward the rear of the vehicle and liftupward to disengage the integralclips.
Tow/Haul Mode

There are two minutes to match thefirst tire/wheel position, andfive minutes overall to match all fourtire/wheel positions. If it takeslonger, the matching process stopsand must be restarted.
The TPMS sensor matchingprocess is:
1. Set the parking brake.
2. Turn the ignition to ON/RUNwith the engine off.
3. If the vehicle has an uplevelDIC, make sure the TirePressure info page option isturned on. The info pages onthe DIC can be turned on andoff through the Settings menu.

4. If the vehicle has an uplevelDIC, use the DIC controls onthe right side of the steeringwheel to scroll to the TirePressure screen under the DICinfo page.
If the vehicle has a base levelDIC, use the MENU button toselect the Vehicle Informationmenu in the DIC. Use thethumbwheel to scroll to the TirePressure Menu item screen.
5. If the vehicle has an uplevel
DIC, press and holdVin the
center of the DIC controls.
If the vehicle has a base levelDIC, press SET/CLR on theturn signal lever to begin thesensor matching process.
Amessageaskingiftheprocess should begin shouldappear. Press SET/CLR againto confirm the selection.
The horn sounds twice tosignal the receiver is in relearnmode and the TIRELEARNING ACTIVE messagedisplays on the DIC screen.
6. Start with the driver sidefront tire.
7. Place the relearn tool againstthe tire sidewall, near the valvestem. Then press the button toactivate the TPMS sensor.Ahornchirpconfirmsthatthesensor identification code hasbeen matched to this tire andwheel position.
8. Proceed to the passenger sidefront tire, and repeat theprocedure in Step 7.
9. Proceed to the passenger siderear tire, and repeat theprocedure in Step 7.
10. Proceed to the driver side reartire, and repeat the procedurein Step 7. The horn sounds twotimes to indicate the sensoridentification code has beenmatched to the driver side reartire, and the TPMS sensor
