Lane Change Alert (LCA)
If equipped, the LCA system is alane-changing aid that assistsdrivers with avoiding lane changecrashes that occur with movingvehicles in the side blind zone (orspot) areas or with vehicles rapidlyapproaching these areas frombehind. The LCA warning displaywill light up in the correspondingoutside side mirror and will flash ifthe turn signal is on. The Side BlindZone Alert (SBZA) system isincluded as part of the LCA system.

Rear Vision
Camera (RVC)
If equipped, RVC displays a view ofthe area behind the vehicle on theinfotainment display when thevehicle is shifted into R (Reverse) toaid with parking and low-speedbacking maneuvers.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert
(RCTA) System
If equipped, the RCTA system usesatrianglewithanarrowdisplayedon the RVC screen to warn of trafficbehind your vehicle that may crossyour vehicle's path while inR(Reverse). In addition, beeps willsound.

Parking Assist
If equipped, Front and Rear ParkingAssist (FRPA) uses sensors on thefront and rear bumpers to assistwith parking and avoiding objectsduring low-speed parkingmaneuvers. It operates at speedsless than 8 km/h (5 mph). Thesystem may display a warningtriangle on the RVC screen and agraphic on the instrument cluster toprovide the object distance. Inaddition, multiple beeps may occurif very close to an object.

Automatic Parking
Assist (APA)
If equipped, the APA system helpsto search for and maneuver thevehicle into parallel or perpendicularparking spots using automaticsteering, DIC displays, and beeps.When the vehicle speed is below
30 km/h (18 mph), pressOto
enable the system.

Power Outlets
The accessory power outlets can beused to plug in electrical equipment,such as a cell phone or MP3 player.
There are two accessory poweroutlets:
.One on the center stack belowthe climate control system.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE
TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE
This message displays whenattempting to activate AdaptiveCruise Control (ACC) when it istemporarily unavailable. The ACCsystem does not need service.
This can occur under the followingconditions:
.Cruise is turned on when thevehicle is stopped.
.The radar is not clean. Keep theradar sensors free of mud, dirt,snow, ice, and slush. Clean theentire front and/or rear of thevehicle. For cleaninginstructions, seeExteriorCare0358.
.Heavy rain or snow is interferingwith the radar object detection orcamera performance.
CRUISE SET TO XXX
This message displays when thecruise control speed is set. SeeCruise Control0243.
NO CRUISE BRAKING GAS
PEDAL APPLIED
This message displays whenAdaptive Cruise Control (ACC) isactive and the driver is pressing thegas pedal. When this occurs, ACCwill not brake. SeeAdaptive CruiseControl0245.

This message displays when theAdaptive Cruise Control (ACC)needs service. Take the vehicle toyour dealer.
SHIFT TO PARK BEFORE
EXITING
This message may display ifAdaptive Cruise Control (ACC) isengaged holding the vehicle at astop, and the driver attempts to exitthe vehicle. Put the vehicle inP(Park) before exiting.

Do Not Use ACC on Hills andWhen Towing a Trailer
Do not use ACC when driving onsteep hills or when towing a trailer.ACC will not detect a vehicle in thelane while driving on steep hills. Thedriver will often need to take overacceleration and braking on steephills, especially when towing atrailer. If the brakes are applied, theACC disengages.
Ending ACC
There are three ways todisengage ACC:
.Step lightly on the brake pedal.
.Press*.
.Press5.
Erasing Speed Memory
The cruise control set speed is
erased from memory if5is pressed
or if the ignition is turned off.
Cleaning the Sensing System
The camera sensor on thewindshield ahead of the rearviewmirror and the radar sensors on thefront of the vehicle can becomeblocked by snow, ice, dirt, or mud.These areas need to be cleaned forACC to operate properly.

System operation may also belimited under snow, heavy rain,or road spray conditions.

Displayed images may be farther orcloser than they appear. The areadisplayed is limited and objects thatare close to either corner of thebumper or under the bumper do notdisplay.
Awarningtrianglemaydisplayonthe RVC screen to show that RearParking Assist (RPA) has detectedan object. This triangle changesfrom amber to red and increases insize the closer the object.

Parking Assist
With Front and Rear Parking Assist(FRPA), as the vehicle moves atspeeds of less than 8 km/h (5 mph)the sensors on the bumpers maydetect objects up to 1.2 m (4 ft) infront and 2.5 m (8 ft) behind thevehicle within a zone 25 cm (10 in)high off the ground and belowbumper level. These detectiondistances may be shorter duringwarmer or humid weather. Blockedsensors will not detect objects andcan also cause false detections.Keep the sensors clean of mud, dirt,snow, ice, and slush; and cleansensors after a car wash in freezingtemperatures.

The Parking Assist system does
not detect children, pedestrians,
bicyclists, animals, or objects
located below the bumper or that
are too close or too far from the
vehicle. It is not available at
speeds greater than 8 km/h
