5/100 POWERTRAIN WARRANTY
The following powertrain components are covered for 5 years or
100,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first, measured from the
vehicle’s original warranty start date.
Vehicles placed in police, taxi, limousine, postal or ambulance
service and all SRT vehicles are excluded from the 5-year or
100,000-kilometrePowertrain Warranty and are covered only under
the 3-year or 60,000-kilometreBasic Warranty.
• Engine– Cylinder block and all internal parts; cylinder head
assemblies; timing case, timing chain, timing belt, gears and
sprockets; vibration damper; oil pump; water pump and housing;
intake and exhaust manifolds; flywheel with starter ring gear; core
plugs; valve covers; oil pan; turbocharger housing and internal
parts; turbocharger wastegate actuator; supercharger; serpentine
belt tensioner; seals and gaskets for listed components only. • Transmission– Transmission case and all internal parts; torque
converter; drive/flex plate; transmission range switch;
transmission control module; bell housing; oil pan; seals and
gaskets for listed components only.
Note: Manual transmission clutch parts are not covered at any time.
• Front-Wheel Drive– Transaxle case and all internal parts; axle
shaft assemblies; constant velocity joints and boots; differential
cover; oil pan; transaxle speed sensors; transaxle solenoid
assembly; PRNDL position switch; transaxle electronic controller;
torque converter; seals and gaskets for listed components only.
Note: Manual transmission clutch parts are not covered at any time.

Replace the engine air cleaner filter, if required (all models).
Replace the spark plugs (PT Cruiser and 2.4L engine Sebring only).
Replace the engine timing belt (PT Cruiser and 2.4L Sebring only).
Check and replace, if necessary, the PCV valve (not required if previously replaced).
Replace the make-up air filter (PT Cruiser only).
Inspect the serpentine drive belt, replace if necessary (not required if previously replaced)
(Pacifica and Minivan only).
Adjust the generator drive belt tension (PT Cruiser only).
Inspect and check tension for power steering belt. Adjust or replace if required
(2.4L Sebring only).
Change the all-wheel-drive power transfer unit fluid (Pacifica only).*
Rotate tires and check tire pressure.
INSPECT THE FOLLOWING:Inspect the brake linings (Pacifica and Minivan only).
Inspect the brake linings, hoses and calipers (Sebring only).
Inspect the brake hoses (PT Cruiser, Pacifica and Minivan only).
Check the brake master cylinder fluid level (Sebring only).
Check the automatic transmission fluid level.
Check the manual transaxle fluid level and fill-plug condition (if equipped)
(PT Cruiser only).
Inspect the tie rod ends and boot seals (PT Cruiser, Pacifica and Minivan only).
Check the coolant level, hoses, and clamps.
Inspect the exhaust system.
*The all-wheel-drive power transfer unit fluid and overrunning clutch/rear carrier fluid must be changed at more frequent
intervals than shown in schedule B if the vehicle is used for trailer tow, taxi, police or other type of commercial service.
