Opening The Bonnet
OPENING THE BONNET
Bonnet strut
Secure the strut in its location,
i d e n t i fi e d b y a s t i c k e r o n t h e l e f t - h a n d
panel side of the vehicle, to hold the
bonnet open.
Before closing the bonnet, put the strut
b a c k i n i t s c l i p w i t h o u t u s i n g e x c e s s i v e
force.
On the outside
Raise the bonnet slightly by reaching
i n a fl a t h a n d , p a l m d o w n , t o m a k e
access to the lever easier.
With this hand, push the lever to the
left. Raise the bonnet.
On the inside
Pull the lever under the fascia panel
t o w a r d s y o u . T h e b o n n e t i s u n l o c k e d .
To close
Lower the bonnet and release it at the
e n d o f i t s t r a v e l . C h e c k t h a t t h e b o n n e t
i s l o c k e d .
Avoid manoeuvring the bonnet in
strong winds.

DIESEL REPRIMING PUMP
If you should run out of fuel, it is
n e c e s s a r y t o r e - p r i m e t h e c i r c u i t :
- fi l l t h e f u e l t a n k w i t h a t l e a s t fi v e litres of diesel,
- s q u e e z e a n d r e l e a s e t h e m a n u a l r e - p r i m i n g p u m p , u n d e r t h e b o n n e t
under the protective cover,
- o p e r a t e t h e s t a r t e r u n t i l t h e e n g i n e starts.

Quality of the fuel used for
Diesel engines
The Diesel engines are perfectly
compatible with biofuels which conform
to current and future European
s t a n d a r d s ( D i e s e l f u e l w h i c h c o m p l i e s

biofuel which complies with standard
E N 1 4 2 1 4 ) a v a i l a b l e a t t h e p u m p s

The B30 biofuel can be used in certain
Diesel engines; however, this use

- under the bonnet (near the battery).

Removing and fitting a fuse
Always replace a faulty fuse with a
fuse of the same rating.
