The distance you can drive
on this fuel depends on
your style of driving and the
engine type. You must fi ll up with fuel to avoid running out.
This warning lamp comes on each time you
switch on the ignition until you have fi lled up.
Capacity of the tank: approximately 60 litres.
Never risk driving until the tank is empty, this
could damage the emissions and injection
systems.

Seat belts

SEAT BELTS
Height adjustment
Squeeze the control with the return and
slide the assembly on the driver's seat
side and on the individual passenger
seat side.
Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue
into the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap.
Driver's seat belt not fastened
warning lamp Unfastening
Press the red button. When the vehicle is started,
this warning lamp comes on
if the driver has not fastened
their seat belt.
Good practice
The driver must ensure that
passengers use the seat belts correctly
and that they are all strapped in
securely before moving off.
Wherever you are seated in the
vehicle, always fasten your seat belt,
even for short journeys.
The seat belts are fi tted with an inertia
reel which automatically adjusts the
length of the strap to your size.
Do not use accessories (clothes pegs,
clips, safety pins, etc.) which allow the
seat belt straps to fi t loosely.
Ensure that the seat belt has reeled in
correctly after use.
After folding or moving a seat or a rear
bench seat, ensure that the seat belt
has reeled in correctly and that the
buckle is ready to accommodate the
tongue.
Depending on the nature and
seriousness of any impact, the
pretensioning device may be deployed
before and independently of infl ation
of the airbags. It instantly tightens
the seat belts against the body of the
occupants.
Deployment of the pretensioners is
accompanied by a slight discharge
of harmless smoke and a noise, due
to the activation of the pyrotechnic
cartridge incorporated in the system.

Airbags

Front airbags
The front airbags are fi tted in the
centre of the steering wheel for the
driver and in the dashboard for the
front passenger.
Deployment
They are deployed simultaneously,
unless the passenger's front airbag
has been deactivated, in the event of
a serious front impact applied to all or
part of the front impact zone A in the
longitudinal centreline of the vehicle
on a horizontal plane directed from the
front towards the rear of the vehicle.
The front airbag infl ates between the
front occupant of the vehicle and the
dashboard to cushion their forward
movement. Deactivation
Only the passenger's front airbag can
be deactivated:
- With the ignition switched off ,
insert the key into the passenger's
airbag deactivation switch,
- turn it to the off "OFF" position,
- then remove the key, keeping the switch in the new position.
The airbag warning lamp
in the instrument panel
is on while the airbag is
deactivated. If the two airbag warning lamps
are on continuously, do not install
a rear-facing child seat, contact
a CITROËN dealer or a qualifi ed
workshop.
Front airbag fault
To ensure the safety of your child,
it is essential to deactivate the
passenger's airbag when you
install a rear-facing child seat on the
front passenger seat. Otherwise, the
child would risk being killed or seriously
injured if the airbag were to infl ate. Reactivation
In the
"OFF" position, the passenger's
airbag will not be deployed in the event of an
impact.
As soon as the child seat is removed, turn
the airbag switch to the "ON" position to re-
activate the airbag and so ensure the safety
of your passenger in the event of an impact.
If this warning lamp comes
on, accompanied by an
audible signal and a message
in the screen, contact a
CITROËN dealer or a
qualifi ed workshop to have
the system checked.

Child safety

The child seats function and the
passenger's airbag deativation
function are common to the entire
CITROËN range.
If the passenger's airbag is not
deactivated, the installation of a
"rearward facing" child seat in the front

equipment offered on the market, the
technical constraints associated with
the fi tting of equipment of these product
groups mean that the special features
of the equipment and its compatibility
with the capacities of your vehicle's
standard equipment must be taken into
account. Please ask a CITROËN dealer
for more information before fi tting such
equipment.

You are advised to contact a CITROËN

In an emergency, press this button for more than 2 seconds. Pressing this button again immediately cancels the call. The green LED goes off.
Pressing this button (at any time) for more than 8 seconds cancels the call.
CITROËN LOCALISED ASSISTANCE CALL
When the ignition is switched on, the green LED comes on for 3 seconds indicating that the system is operating correctly.
If the orange LED fl ashes: there is a system fault.
If the orange LED is on continuously: the backup battery must be replaced.
In either case, contact a CITROËN dealer.
Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request.
The cancellation is confi rmed by a voice message.
Press this button for more than 2 seconds to request assistance if the vehicle breaks down.
A voice message confi rms that the call has been made * .
OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM
The green LED remains on (without fl ashing) when communication is established. It goes off at the end of communication.
This call is dealt with by the CITROËN Emergency team which receives \
locating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to t\
he appropriate emergency services. In countries in which the team is not operational, or when the locating service has been expressly declined, the call is dealt with directly by the emergency services (112) without the vehicle location.
If an impact is detected by the airbag control unit, and independently of the deployment of any airbags, an emergency call is made automatically.
