ECONOMY MODE
after the engine has stopped, with
the  key  in  the  ignition  position,  certain Â
functions (windscreen wiper
, electric
windows,
 courtesy  lamps,  audio Â
equipment,
 etc.)  can  only  be  used  for  a Â
cumulative
 duration  of  thirty  minutes,  to Â
prevent
 discharging  of  the  battery.
Once
 the  thirty  minutes  have  elapsed, Â
the active functions are put on standby
and
 the  battery  warning  lamp  flashes Â
accompanied
 by  a  message  in  the Â
screen.
T
o  resume  the  use  of  these  functions Â
immediately
,  start  the  engine  and  let  it Â
run
 for  a  few  minutes.
The
 time  available  will  then  be  double Â
the
 time  for  which  the  engine  was  left Â
running.
 However,  this  time  will  always Â
be
 between  five  and  thirty  minutes.
A
Â
flat  battery  will  prevent  the Â
engine
 from  starting.

SNOW CHAINS
In wintry conditions, snow chains
improve traction  as  well  as  the Â
behaviour
 of  the  vehicle  when  braking.
 The
 snow  chains  must  be  fitted Â
only
 to  the  driving  wheels. Â
They
Â
must
 never  be  fitted  to  "space-
saver"
 type  spare  wheels.

ake  account  of  the  legislation  in Â
force in your country on the use
of
 snow  chains  and  the  maximum Â
running
 speed  authorised.Advice on installation

Â
If
 you  have  to  fit  the  chains  during Â
a
 journey,  stop  the  vehicle  on  a  flat Â
surface
 on  the  side  of  the  road.

Â
Apply
 the  parking  brake  and Â
position
 any  wheel  chocks  to Â
prevent
 movement  of  your  vehicle.
F
Fit the chains following the
instructions provided by the
manufacturer
.

Move of
f gently and drive for a
few
 moments,  without  exceeding Â
30
 mph  (50  km/h).
F
Â
Stop
 your  vehicle  and  check  that Â
the snow chains are correctly
tightened.It
 is  recommended  that  before  you Â
leave,
 you  practise  fitting  the  snow Â
chains
 on  a  level  and  dry  surface.

 avoid  damaging  your  vehicle's  tyres Â

 part  of  the  chain  or  its  fixings  is  in Â
contact
 with  the  wheel  rim.
