foglamps,
 but  the  front  foglamps Â
remain
 on.
To switch off the front and rear
foglamps,  turn  the  ring  rearwards  twice Â
in
Â
succession.
Automatic illumination of headlamps
In foggy weather or in snow,
the  sunshine  sensor  may  detect Â
sufficient
 light. Â
As
 a  consequence, Â
the
Â
lighting  will  not  come  on Â
automatically
.
If
 necessary,  you  must  switch Â
on

manually
.

They
switch  off  as  soon  as  the Â
light
becomes  bright  enough  or  the Â
windscreen

In
the  event  of  malfunction  of  the Â
automatic
 windscreen  wipers,  the Â
windscreen wipers will operate in
intermittent
 mode.
Contact a CITR
o Ë n dealer or a
qualified
workshop  to  have  the  system Â
checked. In the

position, the windscreen
wipers  operate  automatically  and Â
adapt their speed to the intensity of the
rainfall.
When not in
A ut

other
positions,  refer  to  the  manual Â
windscreen
 wipers  section.
The  automatic  rain  sensitive Â

Screenwash and headlamp wash
Pull the stalk towards you, the wash-
wipe  is  accompanied  by  a  timed  sweep Â
of
 the  wipers.
The
headlamp  wash  is  linked  with  the Â
wash-wipe, it is triggered if the dipped
headlamps
 are  on.
Turn
the  ring  past  the  first Â
position:
 the  rear  screenwash Â
then the rear wiper operates
for
 a  fixed  time.
In winter, in the event of a
considerable
 amount  of  snow Â
or ice, switch on the heated
rear
screen.  Once  the  screen  is Â
clear
,  remove  the  snow  or  ice  which Â
has
accumulated  on  the  rear  wiper Â
blade.
Â
Y

windscreen
 wiper.
To top up the levels, refer to the
"Levels"

Special position of the
windscreen wipers
In the minute following switching off of the ignition, any action on the
stalk
positions  the  wipers  against  the Â
windscreen
 uprights.
This action enables you to position
the
wiper  blades  for  winter  parking, Â
cleaning
 or  replacement.
Refer to the "Changing a windscreen
wiper
 blade"  section  of  chapter  8.
To
park  the  wipers  in  their  normal Â
position after this has been done,
switch
on  the  ignition  and  move  the Â
