The total distance is dis-
played in zone 1 of the
display and the trip dis-
tance in zone 2 .
DISTANCE RECORDERS (A/B)
System for measuring the total dis-
tance travelled by the vehicle during its
service life and the distance travelled in
a day or other period until it is reset to
zero by the driver.
Zero reset
With the ignition on, press the INFO
button for more than 2 seconds until
zeros appear. When the engine is run-
ning, this indicates the
temperature of the cool-
ant.
COOLANT TEMPERATURE
If the bar is close to the
critical position
located on the right, the temperature is
too high.

Wait for the engine to cool before
topping up the level. The cooling
system is pressurised.
When the engine is
running , this indicates
the distance which can
still be travelled with
the fuel remaining in the
tank in relation to the av-
erage consumption over
the last few miles/kilo-
metres travelled.
RANGE
When the range is less than 30 miles
(50 km) , dashes are displayed.
Fill the fuel tank as soon as possible.
The display of the range is updated.
To avoid any risk of scalding, unscrew
the cap by two turns to allow the pres-
sure to drop.
When the pressure has dropped, re-
move the cap and top up the level, if
necessary.
Consult a CITROËN dealer. T h i s fi g u r e m a y i n c r e a s e f o l l o w i n g a
change in the style of driving or the
relief, resulting in a reduction in the
current consumption.
If you only add a few litres, the value
displayed will be incorrect. There-
f o r e , y o u m u s t fi l l t h e t a n k w h e n e v e r
possible.
When you disconnect the bat-
tery, the previous consump-
tion data is lost and the value
displayed will be different from that
displayed before the battery was dis-
connected. The distance displayed
must be considered an approximate
indication.

CONDITIONING
Automatic operation
S e t t h e t e m p e r a t u r e c o n t r o l d i a l 1 to
t h e t e m p e r a t u r e r e q u i r e d .
P l a c e t h e a i r fl o w c o n t r o l d i a l 2 in
the "AUTO" p o s i t i o n .
Place the air distribution adjustment
dial 3 in the "AUTO" p o s i t i o n . When the engine is cold, to avoid an
excessive distribution of cold air, the
v e n t i l a t i o n w i l l r e a c h i t s o p t i m u m l e v e l
g r a d u a l l y .
On entering the vehicle, the interior
t e m p e r a t u r e m a y b e m u c h c o l d e r ( o r
w a r m e r ) t h a n t h e c o m f o r t t e m p e r a -
t u r e . T h e r e i s n o n e e d t o c h a n g e t h e
t e m p e r a t u r e d i s p l a y e d i n o r d e r t o
r e a c h t h e c o m f o r t r e q u i r e d r a p i d l y .
The automatic regulation of the air
c o n d i t i o n i n g w i l l o p e r a t e a t m a x i -
m u m p e r f o r m a n c e t o e l i m i n a t e t h e
t e m p e r a t u r e d i f f e r e n c e a s q u i c k l y a s
p o s s i b l e .

Head restraint height adjustment
Never drive with the removed
head restraints in the vehicle as
they could be thrown around the
v e h i c l e o n s h a r p b r a k i n g . T h e y m u s t
b e i n p l a c e a n d a d j u s t e d c o r r e c t l y .
After installing the head restraint,
check that the height adjustment but-
t o n i s l o c k e d c o r r e c t l y .
The adjustment is correct when the
t o p o f t h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t i s a l i g n e d
w i t h t h e t o p o f t h e h e a d o f t h e s e a t e d
p e r s o n .

Adjustment
The mirrors can be adjusted when the
ignition switch is in the "ON" or "ACC"
p o s i t i o n .
Move control A to the right or to the

Direct control B in all four directions
t o a d j u s t t h e m i r r o r .

m a n u a l l y .
If you have folded the mirrors us-
ing the control C , you must use this
control to unfold them, otherwise the
m i r r o r s w i l l n o t b e l o c k e d c o r r e c t l y .
If you switch the engine off then re-
start it with the mirrors folded, they
will unfold automatically when the
v e h i c l e r e a c h e s 2 0 m p h ( 3 0 k m / h ) .
If the mirrors have been folded manu-
ally or electrically after starting the
engine, they are not unfolded auto-
m a t i c a l l y .

The vehicle will relock automatically
after thirty seconds unless a door or
the tailgate is opened. This function
prevents inadvertent unlocking.
The duration which precedes the au-
tomatic relocking of the vehicle can
b e c o n fi g u r e d v i a t h e c o l o u r d i s p l a y
"Equipment" menu.
Folding the key
First press button A to fold the key. Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the igni-
tion is switched on, this code must be
recognised to permit starting.
This electronic engine immobiliser locks
the engine management system a few
moments after the ignition is switched
off and prevents starting of the engine
by anyone who does not have the key.
Anti-theft protection
In the event of a malfunction and if
your vehicle does not start; contact a
CITROËN dealer as soon as possible.

Starting the vehicle
Insert the key in the ignition switch.
Operate the starter by turning the
key to position 4 (START) .
When the engine turns over, release
the key. The ignition switch is placed
in position 3 (ON) automatically.
Switching the vehicle off
Park the vehicle.
While pressing the key, turn it to-
wards you to position 1 (LOCK) .
Remove the key from the ignition
switch. Changing the battery
Battery reference: CR1616/3 volts.
Unclip the casing using a coin at the
notch.

Slide the new battery into its hous-
ing observing the original direction.
Clip the casing.
Key in ignition
A buzzer sounds on opening the
driver's door, if the key has been left
in the ignition.
