WARNING LIGHTS AND INDICATORS
Central STOP
warning light
T h i s fl a s h e s f o r a f e w s e c -
onds each time the ignition is switched
on. Linked with the warnings:
- " e n g i n e o i l p r e s s u r e " ,
- " c o o l a n t t e m p e r a t u r e " ,
Stop immediately if this light comes
on with the engine running.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
Engine oil pressure
warning light
This comes on each time the
ignition is switched on until
the engine is started.
If it comes on linked with the STOP
warning light, with the engine running,
this indicates that the oil pressure is
too low.
Stop immediately.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
Coolant temperature
warning light
This comes on for a few
seconds each time the ignition is
switched on. Anti-lock braking
system (ABS) warning
light
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
Fixed lighting indicates a malfunction
of the ABS.
H o w e v e r , t h e v e h i c l e r e t a i n s c o n v e n -
tional braking with assistance.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
Handbrake, low brake
fluid level and braking
system warning light
This comes on each time the ignition
is switched on until the handbrake is
released. Electric power steering
warning light
T h i s c o m e s o n f o r a f e w s e c -
onds each time the ignition is
switched on.
Fixed lighting, when the vehicle is
moving, indicates a malfunction of
the electric steering system.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
If this warning light comes on, with
the engine running, this indicates
an abnormal increase in the coolant
temperature.
Stop immediately.
Check the coolant level.
To do this, wait until the engine has
cooled before topping up the level.
The cooling system is pressurised.
When checking the level, and
t o a v o i d a n y r i s k o f s c a l d -
ing, unscrew the cap 1/4 of
a turn to allow the pressure
to drop.
W h e n t h e p r e s s u r e h a s d r o p p e d , r e -
move the cap.
Then:
1. top up, if necessary
(see "Levels").
2. or, if the level is satisfactory,
contact a CITROËN dealer. F i x e d l i g h t i n g , w i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n -
ning, indicates one of the following:
- t h a t t h e h a n d b r a k e i s a p p l i e d o r
has not been released fully, when
the vehicle is moving,
- a n e x c e s s i v e d r o p i n t h e b r a k e fl u i d l e v e l ( i f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t
r e m a i n s o n e v e n w i t h t h e h a n d -
brake released),
- a b r a k i n g s y s t e m f a u l t .
Stop immediately.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.

COMFORT
MIRRORS STEERING WHEEL HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT (WITH POWER STEERING)
When stationary, lower the handle
to unlock the steering wheel.
Adjust to the desired height and
lift the handle to lock the steering
wheel.
F o l d i n g / U n f o l d i n g
When the vehicle is parked, the ex-
terior mirrors can be folded back and
unfolded manually. M a n u a l i n t e r i o r m i r r o r
The interior mirror has two positions:
- day (normal),
- night (anti-dazzle).
To change from one to the other,
push or pull the lever on the lower
edge of the mirror.
Exterior mirrors
Move the lever in all four directions to
adjust the mirror.
For safety reasons, these
operations must not be car-
ried out while driving.
