Starting using the
electronic key
With the first press on the "S TA R T/
STOP "
 button,  this  indicator  lamp f
lashes  slowly  in  the  instrument  panel.Depending
 on  the  ambient  temperature, Â
e
ach  attempt  at  starting  can  take  up  to Â
a
round  30  seconds.  During  this  period, Â
d
o  not  press  the  "START/STOP " button
again,
 or  release  the  clutch  pedal  or Â
b
rake  pedal  (depending  on  the  type  of Â
g
earbox).
After
 this  period,  if  the  engine  has  not Â
s
tarted,  press  the  "START/STOP "
button
 again  for  another  attempt  at Â
s
tarting. If
 one  of  the  starting  conditions  is Â
n
ot  met,  the  "Keyless  Entry  and Â
S
tarting"  system  indicator  lamp  flashes Â
i
n  the  instrument  panel.  In  some Â
c
ircumstances,  it  is  necessary  to Â
t
urn  the  steering  wheel  slightly  while Â
p
ressing  the  "
START/STOP " button to
assist  unlocking  of  the  steering.
For vehicles fitted with a manual gearbox:

lectronic  key  remains  with  the  vehicle Â

ntil  the  end  of  the  journey:  other wise Â

Operating faults
In all cases, it is essential

Limits of operation
On a gradient, or when hill start assist is activated, n ever hold the vehicle using the
accelerator :
 you  could  damage  the  clutch.

Gear shift indicator
Operation

Depending
 on  the  driving  situation  and  your Â

ehicle's  equipment,  the  system  may  advise Â

The  gear  engagement  recommendations  must Â

ot  be  considered  compulsory.  In  fact,  the Â
c
onfiguration  of  the  road,  the  amount  of  traffic Â
a
nd  safety  remain  determining  factors  when Â
c
hoosing  the  best  gear.  Therefore,  the  driver Â
r
emains  responsible  for  deciding  whether  or  not Â
t
o  follow  the  advice  given  by  the  system.
This  function  cannot  be  deactivated.
The  information  appears  in  the Â
i
nstrument  panel  in  the  form  of  an Â
a
r row. The
 system  adapts  its  gear  change Â
r
ecommendation  according  to  the  d
riving  conditions  (slope,  load, ...)  and  t
he  demands  of  the  driver  (power, Â
a
cceleration,  braking, ...).
The
 system  never  suggests:

ear.
With
 an  ETG  electronic  gearbox,  the Â

ystem  is  only  active  in  manual  mode.

Operation

This indicator lamp comes on in the instrument  panel  and  the  engine Â

TOP  mode  since  the  last  reset.

The speed limiter cannot, in any circumstances,  replace  the  need  to o
bserve  speed  limits,  nor  can  it  replace  the
 n
eed  for  vigilance  on  the  part  of  the  driver.
Speed limiter (PureTech 82 engine)
The speed limiter is switched on manually: t
his  can  be  done  whatever  the  speed  of  the Â
v
ehicle.  However,  if  you  are  driving  at  less  than Â
2
0  mph  (30  km/h),  the  programmed  speed  will Â
b
e  fixed  at  20  mph  (30  km/h).
The
 speed  limiter  is  paused by operation of the
control.
The
 programmed  speed  can  be  exceeded Â
t
emporarily  by  pressing  the  accelerator  firmly Â
b
eyond  the  point  of  resistance.
To
 return  to  the  programmed  speed,  simply Â
r
elease  the  accelerator  pedal  until  the  vehicle Â
r
eturns  to  the  programmed  speed  limit.
