Operating
It comes on for a few sec-onds each time you switch on the ignition.
While the ESP system is active, t h e w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s .
For a malfunction
When the vehicle is moving, the lighting of this warning lamp indi-cates a system malfunction.
Contact a CITROËN dealer.
Function deactivated
The warning lamp remains con-tinuously on.

The ABS warning lamp lights up when you switch on the ignition: it should go out after a few seconds.
If it does not go out, there could be a system malfunction.

Main Menu
Press on button A to bring up the “Main menu” of the multifunc-tion display. This menu gives you access to the following functions:
Radio-CD
(See radio-CD handbook).
Trip computer, giving you:Entering the distance to the destination.
Access to the log of alerts (recall of the alerts sig-nalled previously.
Access to status of functions, for example activation/deacti-vation of automatic lighting of headlamps, ESP, windscreen wipers.

Vehicle stationary, engine running
If the vehicle is stationary for a long time with the engine running, then the gearbox changes automat ically to neutral.
Stopping the engine
Before switching the engine off, you must choose:To leave the vehicle in neutral ; for that, place the leve r in position N.To leave the vehicle with a gear engaged (1st or 2nd or Rse); for that, place the gear lever in the respective posi-tion. In this case, the vehicle cannot be moved.
In all cases it is essential to apply the parking brake.
It is possible within a limited time to re-engage a gear, even if the engine is switched off.
Before any operation in the engine compartment, check that the gearbox is in neutral and that the parking brake is applied.
Acceleration
The accelerator pedal may have an end-of-travel switch. If so, to obtain extra acceleration you can action this switch by pressing the pedal hard down.
Starting on a gradient
If starting on a gradient, accelerate gradually while releasing the handbrake.
If you have had to stop on a gradient, you are recommended no t to use the accelerator to maintain the vehicle’s position.

This system is associated with the ABS and in addition to the ABS. In the event of a loss of control of the vehicle by the driver, the ESP system acts automatically on one or more wheels and also on the engine to bring the vehicle back on trajectory.
Operation
T h e E S P w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s i n t h e i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l i f t h e E S P s y s t e m i s correcting the vehicle's trajectory.
Deactivation
In exceptional conditions (vehicle stuck in snow, soft ground, e tc.) it may prove useful to deactivate the ESP systems to allow the wheels to spin and thus regain traction.Press button A.
The warning lamp associated with control A (ESP Off) lights up, as does the ESP warning lamp on the instrument panel.
The ESP system is no longer active.
The ESP system reactivates:Automatically after the ignition has been switched off.
Automatically when you drive at above approx. 50 k m / h ( a p p r o x . 3 0 m p h ) ( A c c o r d i n g t o v e r s i o n ) .Manually with another press on button A.
Operational anomaly
If the system is malfunctioning, the warning lamp ESP lights up in the instrument panel.
Contact a CITROËN dealer to have the system checked.

Temporary override of the cruise speed
While cruise control is in operation, it is always possible to go above the cruise speed simply by pressing the ac cel-erator pedal (for example to overtake another vehic le). T h e s p e e d d i s p l a y e d fl a s h e s . Y o u h a v e o n l y t o r e l e a s e t h e accelerator pedal to return to your cruise speed.
Remark: If during cruise control the system cannot keep to the cruise speed (e.g. on a steep descent), then the speed fl a s h e s . I f n e c e s s a r y , b r a k e t o c u r b y o u r s p e e d .
Adjustment of the memorised speed while cruise control is in operation
To adjust the memorised speed, displayed in zone B, press:Button 4 to increase the speed.
Button 2 to decrease the speed.
Remark: Successive presses will modify the cruise speed i n s t e p s o f 1 k m / h a n d a c o n t i n u o u s p r e s s i n s t e p s o f 5 k m / h ( 3 m p h ) .
Disengagement of the memorised cruise speed.Either by pressing the brake pedal or the clutch pedal.
Or by the ESP system being active.Or by pressing button 3.Note: Cruise control is deactivated if the gear lever is in neutral (position N)

Disengagement of the maximum speed
Press button 3 located on the end of control A.
This action causes the information “OFF” to appear in the instrument panel screen.
The memorised speed remains displayed and is not cancelled.
Temporary override of the maximum speed
At any time, it is possible to go above the memorised maximum speed by pressing the accelerator pedal hard down past the tight spot.
W h i l e t h e m e m o r i s e d s p e e d i s b e i n g e x c e e d e d , t h e d i s p l a y e d s p e e d fl a s h e s .
You have only to release the accelerator pedal to return below the maximum speed, to restore the function.
Remark: If during speed limitation the system cannot keep to the maxi mum speed (especially on a steep descent or i f y o u a c c e l e r a t e t o o h a r d ) , t h e s p e e d fl a s h e s . A d a p t y o u r s p e e d a s n e c e s s a r y .
The function will re-engage when your speed has returned below the desired maximum.
To cancel the functionBy moving the control from position “LIMIT” to position 0.
Or stop the engine.
The speed that you chose is memorised.

ISOFIX anchoring points and the ISOFIX fastening system
The rear seats of your vehicle are equipped with ISOFIX anchoring p o i n t s . T h e s e c o n s i s t o f 2 r i n g s located between the backrest and t h e v e h i c l e s e a t , a p p r o x . 2 8 c m apart.
ISOFIX child seats are equipped w i t h 2 l a t c h e s w h i c h a r e e a y t o a t t a c h t o t h e s e r i n g s . T h i s fi x i n g system is intended for children weighing up to 18 kg.
Incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle compromises protec-tion of the child in the event of a col-lision. The ISOFIX system enables you to minimise the risks posed by i n c o r r e c t fi t t i n g . T h e I S O F I X f a s -tening system gives you a conven- i e n t , s t r o n g a n d r e l i a b l e fi t t i n g f o r a child seat in your vehicle.
The ISOFIX child seats approved (1) for your vehicle are:
The KIDDY ISOFIX (1):
This is marketed in the CITROËN network. It can be installed “rear-facing” f r o m b i r t h t o 1 3 k g a n d “ f o r w a r d - f a c i n g ” f r o m 9 t o 1 8 k g .
Advice on installing your KIDDY ISOFIX child seat:When this seat is installed “forward-facing”, the vehicle front seat should be adjusted to an intermediate fore/aft position, backrest upright.If “rear-facing”, the shell of the child seat should be in con tact with the backrest of the vehicle front seat.
T h e “ r e a r - f a c i n g ” p o s i t i o n f o r t h e I s o fi x K I D D Y i s n o t a u t h o r i s e d o n s e a t s that are individually adjustable.
The RÖMER Duo ISOFIX (1):
T h i s c h i l d s e a t i s a p p r o v e d f o r c h i l d r e n f r o m 9 t o 1 8 k g . I t m u s t b e i n s t a l l e d only in the “forward-facing” position. The vehicle's corresponding front seat should be adjusted so that the child's feet are not touching its backrest (slide the rear seat as far rearwards as possible). The use of the top b elt, called Top Tether, is not necessary.
These child seats can also be installed in seat positions that are not equipped with ISOFIX anchorages. In this case, they must be secured to the vehicle seat by means of the vehicle seat belt.

Automatic lighting of the interior lampsOn entering the vehicle:
They come on as soon as the vehicle is unlocked or a door is opened. T h e y g o o u t 3 0 s e c o n d s a f t e r t h e d o o r s a r e c l o s e d o r w h e n i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n .
On vacating the vehicle: T h e y c o m e o n a s s o o n a s t h e i g n i t i o n k e y i s r e m o v e d ( t i m e d f o r 3 0 s e c o n d s ) , o r w h e n a d o o r i s o p e n e d .

2. Spotlamps
A press on one of the buttons 2 switches the corresponding spotlamp on or off.
These do not work if the ignition is off or in economy mode.
