ACCESS
Locking the vehicle with exterior
perimeter protection only
Deactivation of the interior
volumetric protection
Switch off the ignition.
Within ten seconds, press button A
until the indicator lamp is lit continu-
ously.
Get out of the vehicle.
Lock or deadlock the vehicle without
delay using the locking button on
the remote control.
T h e e x t e r i o r p e r i m e t e r p r o t e c t i o n a l o n e
remains activated; the indicator lamp on
button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .
To be effective, this deactivation
must be carried out each time
the ignition is switched off.
Reactivation of the interior
volumetric protection
Unlock the vehicle using the unlock-
ing button on the remote control.
Relock the vehicle using the remote
control.
The alarm is activated again with both
types of protection; the indicator lamp
on button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d . Triggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the si-
r e n a n d fl a s h i n g o f t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i c a -
t o r s f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y s e c o n d s .
After it has been triggered, both types of
protection are again operational.
If the alarm is triggered ten times
in succession, the eleventh time
will result in it becoming inac-
tive.
If the indicator lamp on button A
fl a s h e s r a p i d l y , t h i s i n d i c a t e s t h a t
the alarm was triggered during
your absence. When the ignition
i s s w i t c h e d o n , t h i s fl a s h i n g s t o p s
immediately.
To avoid triggering the alarm
when washing your vehicle, lock
it using the key in the driver’s
door lock. Failure of the remote control
Unlock the vehicle using the key in
the driver’s door lock.
Open the door; the alarm is trig-
gered.
Switch on the ignition; the alarm
stops.
Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the key in the driver’s door lock.
Malfunction
When the ignition is switched on, light-
ing of the indicator lamp on button A for
ten seconds indicates a siren fault.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer.

Automatic activation *
2 minutes after the last door or the boot
is closed, the alarm is activated auto-
matically.
To avoid triggering the alarm on en-
t e r i n g t h e v e h i c l e , fi r s t p r e s s t h e u n -
locking button on the remote control.

in the case of the monochrome
screen A, for which the duration is
s e t : 6 0 s e c o n d s ) ,
- automatic activation of "guide- me-home" lighting when automatic
illumination of headlamps is in
operation.
Operating fault In fog or snow, the sunshine sen-
s o r m a y d e t e c t s u f fi c i e n t l i g h t .
Therefore, the lighting will not
come on automatically.
Do not cover the sunshine sen-
sor, coupled with the rain sensor
and located in the centre of the
windscreen behind the rear view
mirror; the associated functions
would no longer be controlled.
In the event of a fault
with the sunshine sen-
sor, the lighting comes
on, this warning lamp is
displayed on the instrument panel and/
or a message appears on the multifunc-
tion screen, accompanied by an audible
signal.

Reverse gear
When reverse gear is engaged, the
rear wiper will come into operation if the
windscreen wipers are operating.
Programming
The function is activated or deactivated
v i a t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a t i o n
menu.
This function is activated by default. Windscreen wash
Pull the wiper stalk towards you. The
windscreen wash, then the windscreen
w i p e r s , o p e r a t e f o r a s p e c i fi e d t i m e .
B. Rear wiper selection ring:
I f a s i g n i fi c a n t a c c u m u l a t i o n o f
snow or ice is present, or when
using a tailgate bicycle car-
rier, deactivate the automatic
rear wiper via the multifunction

cally, without any action on the part of the
driver, if rain is detected (sensor behind

- handle them with care,
- clean them regularly using soapy water,
- not use them to hold a sheet of cardboard against the
windscreen,
- r e p l a c e t h e m a t t h e fi r s t s i g n s of wear.
Do not cover the rain sensor,
linked with the sunshine sensor
and located in the centre of the
windscreen behind the rear view
mirror.
Switch off the automatic wiping
when using an automatic car
wash.
In winter, it is advisable to wait
until the windscreen is complete-
ly clear of ice before activating
the automatic wiping.
The automatic wiping must be re-
activated if the ignition has been
off for more than one minute, by
pushing stalk
A downwards.
This position allows the wiper blades
to be lifted for winter parking, cleaning
or replacement without damaging the
bonnet.
In the minute following switching off of
the ignition, any action on the wiper
stalk positions the wipers vertically.
To park the wipers after this has been
done, switch on the ignition and operate
the wiper stalk.
This is controlled manually by the driver
by pushing stalk
A to the "AUTO"
position.
This is controlled manually by the driver
by moving stalk A upwards, returning it
to position "0" . It is accompanied by the indica-
tor lamp in the instrument panel

Deactivation
O n l y t h e p a s s e n g e r ' s f r o n t a i r b a g c a n
be deactivated:
with the ignition off , i n s e r t t h e k e y
in the passenger airbag deactivation
switch 1 ,
t u r n i t t o t h e "OFF" p o s i t i o n ,
t h e n , r e m o v e t h e k e y k e e p i n g t h e
switch in the new position.
T h i s w a r n i n g l a m p c o m e s o n
i n t h e i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l w h e n
t h e i g n i t i o n i s o n a n d u n t i l t h e
airbag is re-activated. T o a s s u r e t h e s a f e t y o f y o u r c h i l d ,
t h e p a s s e n g e r ' s f r o n t a i r b a g
m u s t b e d e a c t i v a t e d w h e n y o u
install a "rear facing" child seat
on the front passenger seat.
O t h e r w i s e , t h e c h i l d w o u l d r i s k
b e i n g s e r i o u s l y i n j u r e d o r k i l l e d i f
the airbag were triggered.
Reactivation
W h e n y o u r e m o v e t h e c h i l d s e a t , t u r n
switch 1 to the "ON" position to re-acti-
v a t e t h e a i r b a g a n d s o a s s u r e t h e s a f e t y
o f y o u r f r o n t p a s s e n g e r i n t h e e v e n t o f
a n i m p a c t .
W i t h t h e i g n i t i o n o n , t h i s w a r n -
