Anti-lock
Braking System (ABS) fi x e d .
The anti-lock braking
system has a fault. The vehicle retains conventional braking without
servo assistance.
Drive carefully at reduced speed and contact a
CITROËN dealer without delay.
Dynamic
stability control
(ESP/ASR) fl a s h i n g .
The ESP/ASR regulation is
active. The system optimises traction and improves the
directional stability of the vehicle.

deactivated with the indicator
lamp on the button on, the
ESP/ASR system is faulty. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer.
Engine
autodiagnosis system fi x e d .
The emission control
system has a fault.
This lamp should switch off when the engine is star
ted.
If it does not switch off, contact a CITROËN
dealer urgently.
fl a s h i n g . The engine management
system has a fault. Risk of destruction of the catalytic convertor.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer.
Low fuel level fi x e d w i t h

remains
approximately
5 litres of fuel in the tank. Refuel as soon as possible to avoid running out
of fuel.
This warning lamp wil come on every time the
i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n , u n t i l a s u f fi c i e n t a d d i t i o n
of fuel is made.
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres
(petrol) or 45 litres (Diesel).
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel,
this could damage the emission control and
injection systems.

ACCESS The key cannot be removed from

O p e n i n g t h e fi l l e r c a p m a y c r e a t e
a noise a caused by an inrush of
air. This vacuum is entirely nor-
mal, resulting from the sealing of
the fuel system.
FUEL TANK
Fuel tank capacity: approximately
50 litres (petrol) or 45 litres (Diesel).
Low fuel level When the fuel tank minimum
level is reached this warning
lamp comes on on the instru-
m e n t p a n e l . W h e n i t fi r s t c o m e s
on there remains approximately 5 li-
tres of fuel in the tank.
Refuel as soon as possible to avoid run-
ning out of fuel.
If you run out of fuel (Diesel), refer also
to the "Practical information" section.
Filling
A l a b e l a f fi x e d t o t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fl a p
reminds you of the type of fuel to be
used depending on your engine.
Additions of fuel must be of at least 5 litres,
in order to be taken into account by the fuel
gauge. T o fi l l t h e t a n k i n c o m p l e t e s a f e t y :
it is imperative that the engine is
switched off,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p ,
insert the key in the cap, then turn it
to the left,
remove the cap and hook it onto
the clip located on the inside of the
fl a p ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , but do not continue
after the 3rd cut-off of the pump ;
this could cause malfunctions.
W h e n y o u h a v e fi l l e d t h e t a n k :
put the cap back in place,
turn the key to the right, then remove
it from the cap,
c l o s e t h e fl a p .
