Reactivating the interior

Triggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the siren and   flashing   of   the   direction   indicators   for

hirty seconds.
The
  monitoring   functions   remain   active   until  
t

he   alarm   has   been   triggered   eleven   times   in  
s

uccession.
When
  the   vehicle   is   unlocked   using   the   remote  
c

ontrol   or   the   Keyless   Entry   and   Starting  
s

ystem,   rapid   flashing   of   the   indicator   lamp  
i

n   the   button   informs   you   that   the   alarm   was  
t

riggered   during   your   absence.   When   the  
i

gnition   is   switched   on,   this   flashing   stops  
i

mmediately.
Failure of the remote control
To deactivate the monitoring functions:

amp   confirms   the   presence   of   fan   boosted   air

Emergency braking
In the event of a failure of the main service brake   or   in   an   exceptional   situation   (e.g.   driver  
t

aken   ill,   under   instruction,   etc)   a   continuous  
p

ull   on   the   control   lever   will   brake   the   vehicle.

raking   takes   place   while   the   control   lever   is  
b

eing   pulled.   It   is   interrupted   if   the   control   lever

eleased.
The
  ABS   and   DSC   systems   provide   stability   of  
t

he   vehicle   during   emergency   braking.
If
  the   emergency   braking   malfunctions,   the  
m

essage   "Parking   brake   control   faulty"   will   be

isplayed.
If
  a   failure   of   the   ABS   and   DSC   systems  
o

ccurs,   signalled   by   the   illumination   of   one  
o

r   both   warning   lamps   in   the   instrument

anel,   then   stability   of   the   vehicle   is   no   longer

uaranteed.
In
  this   event,   stability   must   be   assured   by   the

river   by   repeating   alternate   "pull-release"

When the active cruise control is automatically paused, it can only be reactivated when safe conditions are restored. The message "Activation not   possible,   conditions   unsuitable"   is   displayed   while   reactivation   is   not   possible.
When
  the   conditions   allow,   it   is   recommended   that   the   function   be   reactivated   by   pressing   button   2 or 3,
  which   will   make   the   current   speed   of  
y

our   vehicle   the   new   cruise   speed   setting,   rather   than   by   pressing   button   4   (on/pause)   which   reactivates   the   cruise   control   using   the   old   cruise  
s

peed   setting,   which   may   be   very   different   from   the   current   speed   of   your   vehicle.

This system improves the stability and manoeuvrability   of   your   vehicle   when   braking

nd   contributes   towards   improved   control   in

orners,   in   particular   on   poor   or   slippery   road

rfaces.
The
  ABS   prevents   wheel   lock   in   the   event   of  
em

ergency

raking.
The
  electronic   brake   force   distribution   system  
m

anages   the   braking   pressure   wheel   by   wheel.
Emergency braking assistance
(EBA)
In an emergency, this system enables you to reach   the   optimum   braking   pressure   more  
q

uickly   and   therefore   reduce   the   stopping  
di

stance.
It
  is   triggered   according   to   the   speed   at   which  
t

he   brake   pedal   is   pressed.   This   is   felt   by   a  
r

eduction   in   the   resistance   of   the   pedal   and   an  
i

ncrease   in   the   effectiveness   of   the   braking.
Anti-slip regulation (ASR)
The ASR system (also known as Traction Control)   optimises   traction   in   order   to   limit  
w

heel   slip   by   acting   on   the   brakes   of   the   driving  
w

heels   and   on   the   engine.   It   also   improves  
t

he   directional   stability   of   the   vehicle   on  
a

cceleration.
Dynamic stability control (DSC)
If there is a difference between the path followed   by   the   vehicle   and   that   required   by  
t

he   driver,   the   DSC   monitors   each   wheel   and  
a

utomatically   acts   on   the   brake   of   one   or   more  
w

heels   and   on   the   engine   to   return   the   vehicle  
t

o   the   required   path,   within   the   limits   of   the   laws  
o

f   physics.
