Seat belts
Front seat belts
The front seat belts are fitted with a pretensioning  and  force  limiting  system.
This
system  improves  safety  in  the  front Â
s
eats  in  the  event  of  a  front  or  side  impact. Â
D
epending  on  the  severity  of  the  impact,  the Â
p
retensioning  system  instantly  tightens  the  seat Â
b
elts  against  the  body  of  the  occupants.
The
pretensioning  seat  belts  are  active  when Â
t

The
force  limiter  reduces  the  pressure  of  the Â
s
eat belt on the chest of the occupant, so
improving
 their  protection.
Seat belt reels with reversible
pretension
This system provides automatic adjustment of the  tension  of  the  driver's  and  passenger's  seat Â
b
elts  after  fastening,  once  the  vehicle's  speed Â
i
s  above  6  mph  (10  km/h).
In
addition,  as  soon  as  the  system  detects Â
a
 potentially  dangerous  driving  situation, Â
t
his  system  reacts  by  drawing  in  slack  in Â
t
he  belt,  (for  example,  under  heavy  or  sharp Â
b
raking  or  sudden  avoiding  manoeuvres).  By Â
a

s
