The system may suffer inter ference or not work correctly:

nder conditions of poor visibility
(
for example, snowfall, heavy rain

r thick fog, ...),

f the windscreen is dirty, misted or

bscured (by a sticker, ...) in front of
t
he camera,

i
f the vehicle is facing highly
re
flective
si
gns.
The
system is not able to detect:
-
r
oad users that do not have their
o
wn lighting, such as pedestrians,
-
r
oad users whose lighting is
o
bscured, such as vehicles running
b
ehind a safety barrier (on a
m
otor way, for example),
-
r
oad users at the top or bottom of
a
steep slope, on twisty roads, on
c
rossroads.
Switching off
F In the " Driving assistance "
menu, press the button, its
i
ndicator lamp goes off and
t
he the system changes to
"
automatic illumination of
h
eadlamps"
m
ode.
To
reactivate the system, flash the headlamps
ag
ain.
Depending on the
s
ituation, one of these two
indicator lamps comes on.
Switching on

the lighting control stalk ring i
n the "AUTO" position.

n the " Driving assistanc e"
menu,
press the button, its

ndicator lamp comes on.
Operation

the function.
Once
the
function is activated, the system

perates
as follows:

the
ambient light level is very low and the

conditions permit:

If
the
ambient light level is sufficient and/or if

he
traffic
conditions do not allow illumination of

he
main
beam headlamps:

eam, the driver can take over at any time.

bulbs
must
be
changed

y
a
CITROËN
dealer
or
a
qualified
w
orkshop,
as
there
is
a
risk
of
el
ectrocution.
In
the
event
of
failure
of
one
of
the
D5S
b
ulbs,
it
is
recommended
that
the
bulb
o
n
the
other
side
be
changed
at
the
s
ame
time.
The
headlamps
are
fitted
with
p
olycarbonate
glass
with
a
protective
c
oating:
F
d
o not clean them using a dr y
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,
F
u
se
a
sponge
and
soapy
water
or
a
p
H
neutral
product,
F
w
hen
using
a
high
pressure
washer
o
n
persistent
marks,
do
not
keep
t
he
lance
directed
towards
the
l
amps
or
their
edges
for
too
long,
s
o
as
not
to
damage
their
protective
c
oating
a
nd
sea
ls.
Changing
a
bulb
should
only
be
done
a
fter
the
headlamp
has
been
switched
o
ff
for
several
minutes
(risk
of
serious
b
urns).
F
D
o
not
touch
the
bulb
directly
with
y
our
fingers,
use
a
lint-free
cloth.
It
is
imperative
to
use
only
anti-
ultraviolet
(UV)
type
bulbs
to
avoid
d
amaging
t
he
h
eadlamp.
Always
replace
a
failed
bulb
with
a
n
ew
bulb
with
the
same
type
and
s
pecification.
