Stop & Start
This system puts the engine tempo-
rarily into standby during stops in the
traffi c (red lights, traffi c jams, etc...).
The engine restarts automatically as
soon as you want to move off.
Stop & Start reduces fuel consump-
tion, exhaust emissions and noise
when stationary.
Lane departure warning system
This driving aid warns you when you
unwittingly cross a lane marking.
Parking sensors (visual and
audible)
This system warns you if an obstacle
is detected in front of or behind the
vehicle.
Tyre under-infl ation detection
This system checks the pressure
of the tyres automatically while
driving.
Xenon dual-function directional
headlamps
This system automatically provides
you with extra visibility on bends.
This lighting is linked with the cor-
nering lighting which maximises the
illuminated area at intersections and
when parking.

FAMILIARISATION
Electric parking brake
Never leave a child alone inside
the vehicle with the ignition
on, as they could release the
parking brake.
Hill start assist
Manual operation
The MANUAL application/release of
the parking brake is always possible
by pulling/pushing the control lever B
,
keeping your foot on the brake pedal.
Before leaving the ve-
hicle, check that warn-
ing lamp A (!)
(red) in
the instrument panel is
on fi xed (not fl ashing) and that warn-
ing lamp P
(red) in the control lever B
is on.
If you leave the vehicle with the
engine still running, apply the
parking brake manually. Do not leave the vehicle while
it is being held in the temporary
immobilisation hill start assist
phase.
To aid starting on a gradient, your vehicle is equipped with a system which keeps
it immobilised for a short time (about
2 seconds), the approximate time it
takes to move your foot from the brake
pedal to the accelerator pedal.
This system is only active when:
-
The vehicle is completely stationary,
with your foot on the brake pedal.
- In certain conditions on a gradient.
- With the driver’s door closed. Before leaving the ve-
hicle, check that warn-
ing lamp A (!)
(red) in
the instrument panel is
on fi xed (not fl ashing) and that warn-
ing lamp P
(red) in the control lever B
is on.
Automatic operation
The electric parking brake releases
automatically and progressively when
you press the accelerator. With the
vehicle stationary, the parking brake
is automatically applied when the
engine is switched off.

Limit the causes of excess
consumption
Spread loads throughout the vehicle;
place the heaviest items in the bottom
of the boot, as close as possible to the
rear seats.
Limit the loads carried in the vehicle
and reduce wind resistance (roof bars,
roof rack, bicycle carrier, trailer...). Use
a roof box in preference.
Remove roof bars and roof racks after
use.
At the end of winter, remove snow
tyres and refi t your summer tyres.
Observe the recommendations
on maintenance
Check the tyre pressures regularly,
when cold, referring to the label in the
door aperture, driver's side.
Carry out this check in particular:
- before a long journey,
- at each change of season,
- after a long period out of use.
Don't forget the spare wheel and the
tyres on any trailer or caravan.
Have your vehicle serviced regularly
(engine oil, oil fi lter, air fi lter...) and
observe the schedule of operations
recommended by the manufacturer.
When refuelling, do not continue after
the 3 rd cut-off of the nozzle to avoid
any overfl ow.
At the wheel of your new vehicle,
it is only after the fi rst 1 800 miles
(3 000 kilometres) that you will see
the fuel consumption settle down to a
consistent average.
