Limit the causes of excess
consumption
Spread loads throughout the vehicle; place the heaviest items in the bottom of the boot, as close as possible to the rear seats. Limit the loads carried in the vehicle andreduce wind resistance (roof bars, roof rack,bicycle carrier, trailer...). Use a roof box in preference. Remove roof bars and roof racks after use.


At the end of winter, remove snow tyres andrefit your summer tyres.



Observe the recommendations
on maintenance


Check the tyre pressures regularly, whencold, referring to the label in the door aperture, driver's side.
Carry out this check in par ticular:


- before a long journey,

- at each change of season,

- after a long period out of use.
Don't forget the spare wheel and the tyres on any trailer or caravan.


Have your vehicle ser viced regularly (engineoil, oil filter, air filter...) and obser ve theschedule of operations recommended by the manufacturer.




When refuelling, do not continue after the 3 rd
cut-off of the nozzle to avoid any overflow.

At the wheel of your new vehicle, it is only after the first 1 800 miles (3 000 kilometres) that you will see the fuel consumption settledown to a consistent average.
Switch off the headlamps and front foglamps when the level of light does not require their use.

Avoid running the engine before moving off,particularly in winter; your vehicle will warmup much faster while driving.

As a passenger, if you avoid connecting your multimedia devices (film, music, videogame...), you will contribute towards limitingthe consumption of electrical energy, and soof fuel. Disconnect your por table devices beforeleaving the vehicle.

Steering mounted controls
The steering mounted paddles do not allow neutral to be selected, reversegear to be engaged or disengaged, or the driving mode to be changed.
Five or six-speed electronically controlled
gearbox which offers a choice between the comfor t of automated operation or the pleasure
of manual gear changing.

of the gears by the driver, using the gear
lever or the steering mounted control paddles,
In automated mode, you can temporarily takecontrol of gear changes at any time, using thesteering mounted control paddles.

)Turn thumb wheel 1 to the "LIMIT"position: the speed limiter mode is
selected but is not switched on (PAUSE).You do not have to switch the speed limiter on
in order to set the speed. )Set the speed value by pressing button 2or 3 (e.g.: 55 mph (90 km/h)).


Programming
You can then change the programmed speed using buttons 2
and 3:


- by + or - 1 mph (km/h) = shor t press,

- by + or - 5 mph (km/h) = long press,

- in steps of + or - 5 mph (km/h) = maintained press. )Switch the speed limiter on by pressing button 4
. )Switch the speed limiter off by pressing button 4
: the display confirms that it has been switched off (PAUS E).)Switch the speed limiter back on by pressing button 4
again.



Exceeding the programmed speed

Pressing the accelerator pedal to exceed the programmed speed will not have
any effect unless you press the pedal firmlypast the ypoint of resistance.e The speed limiter is deactivated temporarily and the programmed speed,
which is still displayed, flashes.
Returning to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or
unintentional deceleration of the vehicle, automatically cancels theflashing of the programmed speed.
On a steep descent or in the event of sharp acceleration, the speed limiter will not beable to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmed speed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the pedals:



- ensure that the mat is positioned correctly,

- do not fit one mat on top of another.



Leaving limiter mode

Turn thumb wheel 1to the "0"
position:
the speed limiter mode is deselected. The
display returns to the distance recorder.

Operating fault

In the event of a speed limiter fault, the speed
is cleared resulting in flashing of the dashes.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

Programming
)Turn thumb wheel 1
to the "CRUISE"position: the cruise control mode isselected but is not switched on (PAUSE). )Set the programmed speed byaccelerating to the required speed,
then press button 2 or 3
(e.g.: 70 mph(11 0 k m / h)).

You can then change the programmed speed using buttons 2 and 3:


- by + or - 1 mph (km/h) = shor t press,

- by + or - 5 mph (km/h) = long press,

- in steps of + or - 5 mph (km/h) = maintained press. )Switch off the cruise control by pressing button 4: the screenconfirms that it has been switched off (PAUS E).
)Switch the cruise control back on by pressing button 4again.



Exceeding the programmed speed

Intentional or unintentional exceeding of the programmed speed results
in flashing of this speed in the screen.
Return to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or unintentional
deceleration of the vehicle, automatically cancels the flashing of the speed.

deselected. The display returns to the distance recorder.



Operating fault

In the event of a cruise control malfunction,
the speed is cleared resulting in flashing of the
dashes. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
When the cruise control is switched on,be careful if you maintain the pressure on one of the programmed speedchanging buttons: this may result in avery rapid change in the speed of your vehicle. Do not use the cruise control on slippery roads or in heavy traffic. On a steep descent, the cruise control will not be able to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmedspeed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the pedals:


- ensure that the mat is positioned correctly,


- never fit one mat on top of another.

Removing a wheel
Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it doesnot block traffic: the ground must belevel, stable and not slippery. Apply the parking brake, switch off the ignition and engage first gear * tolock the wheels.
If necessary, place a chock under thewheel diagonally opposite the wheel tobe changed. It is imperative that you ensure that the occupants get out of the vehicle and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle raised using a jack; use an axle stand.

Remove the chromed bolt cover from each
of the bolts using the tool 3(alloy wheels
only). ) Fit the socket 4on the wheelbrace 1
toslacken the security bolt (if your vehicle isfitted with them).)
Slacken the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.

)Place the jack 2 in contact with one of the
two front A or rear Blocations provided on
the underbody, whichever is closest to the
wheel to be changed.
On vehicles fitted with sill finishers, the jacking location is indicated by a marking
on the finisher. The jack must be placed centrally in line with this marking, at thejacking point located behind the finisher and not on the plastic finisher itself.
)Remove the bolts and store them in a clean place. )Remove the wheel.
) Extend the jack 2
until its base plate is incontact with the ground. Ensure that the centreline of the jack base plate is directlybelow the location Aor B
used.)
Raise the vehicle until there is sufficient space between the wheel and the groundso that the spare (not punctured) wheel can
then be fitted without difficulty.
