Fitting a wheel
After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the
boot correctly, first remove the central
c
ove r.
When
using the "space-saver" type
t
emporary-use spare wheel, do not
e
xceed 50 mph (80 km/h).
Have
the tightening of the bolts and the
p
ressure of the spare wheel checked
b
y a CITR
oË
N dealer or a qualified
workshop
without delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired and
replace it on the vehicle as soon as
possible.
Do
not drive with more than one
t
emporary-use spare wheel fitted to the
v
ehicle at one time.
List of operations
F Put the wheel in place on the hub.
F S crew in the bolts by hand.

re-tighten the security bolt (if your vehicle

s fitted with them) using the wheelbrace 1
fitted
with the socket 4.

re-tighten the other bolts using the

RaCING tyres
driving in winter conditions
The 215/40 R18 89W tyres fitted as standard are not suitable for severe winter conditions.
C
ITROËN recommends that you use suitable
w
inter tyres during periods of very cold
w
eather.
If you want to fit snow chains or anti-
slip covers to your vehicle, contact
a CITR
oË
N dealer for advice on the
tyres
recommended for your vehicle.

It is strongly recommended that before you leave, you practise fitting the snow
c
hains on a level and dry sur face.
Snow chains
In wintry conditions, snow chains improve traction as well as the behaviour of the vehicle when braking.
T he snow chains must be fitted only
t
o the front wheels. They must never
b
e fitted to "space-saver" type spare
wheels.
Take
account of the legislation in force
i
n your country on the use of snow
chains
and the maximum running
s
peed
a
uthorised.
Avoid
driving with snow chains on
r
oads that have been cleared of snow,
to
avoid damaging your vehicle's tyres
a
nd the road sur face. If your vehicle
i
s fitted with alloy wheels, check that
n
o part of the chain or its fixings is in
c
ontact with the wheel rim.
Advice on installation
F If you have to fit the chains during a journey, stop the vehicle on a flat sur face on the side of the r
oad.
F
A
pply the parking brake and position any wheel chocks to prevent movement of your vehicle.
F
F
it the chains following the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
F
M
ove off gently and drive for a few moments, without exceeding 30 mph (50 km/h).
F
S
top your vehicle and check that the snow chains are correctly tightened.

Towing the vehicleProcedure for having your vehicle towed or for towing another vehicle using a removable towing eye.
T he towing eye is installed in the boot under
t
he floor.
To
gain access to it:
F
o
pen the boot,
F
r
aise the floor,
F
r
emove the polystyrene storage box,
F
r
emove the towing eye from the holder.
Access to the tools General recommendations
Observe the legislation in force in your country.
E nsure that the weight of the towing vehicle is higher than that of the towed vehicle.
The
driver must remain at the wheel of the towed vehicle and must have a valid driving licence.
When
towing a vehicle with all four wheels on the ground, always use an approved towing
a
rm; rope and straps are prohibited.
The
towing vehicle must move off gently.
When
towing a vehicle with the engine off, there is no longer any power assistance for
b
raking or steering.
In
the following cases, you must always call on a professional recovery service:

ehicle broken down on a motor way or fast road,
-
f
our-wheel drive vehicle,
-
w
hen it is not possible to put the gearbox into neutral, unlock the steering, or release
t
he parking brake,
-
t
owing with only two wheels on the ground,
-
w
here there is no approved towing arm available...

Matt paintWe recommend the use of a high pressure jet wash, or at least a water hose with a high
o
utput.
We
recommend that the vehicle be rinsed using
d
e-ionised
w
ater.
Use
only a microfibre cloth to dry the vehicle.
I
t must be clean and used without heavy
p
ressure.
Lightly
wipe off any fuel stains present on the
b
odywork using a soft cloth, then leave to dry.
From
the range of cleaning and maintenance
p
roducts in the "TECHNATURE" range
r
ecommended and approved by CITROËN,
u
se only the insect remover and car shampoo,
w
hich are the only products to be used on the
bodywork.
The
insect remover can also be used to remove
m
inor marks (for example: finger marks...).

ways have paint repairs done by a CITR

or a qualified workshop.
Recommendations
on
the
care
and
maintenance
your
vehicle
are
given
in
the
maintenance
and
warranty guide.
Never
clean
the
vehicle
without
water.
Never wash your vehicle in an
automatic
roller
brush
car
wash.
Never polish the vehicle body, nor the
alloy
wheels.
Doing
this
will
make
the
pa
intwork
sh
iny.
Do not use paint cleaners, abrasive
products
or
paint
polishing
or
p
reserving
products
(such
as
wax,
f
or
example)
on
the
paintwork.
These
p
roducts
are
only
suitable
for
bright
f
inishes.
Application
of
these
products
o
n
vehicles
with
a
matt
finish
will
s
eriously
damage
the
paint
sur face
of
t
he
vehicle,
giving
rise
to
irreversible
s
hiny
or
stained
areas.
Never
use
a
high
pressure
jet
wash
w
ith a lance fitted with a brush, this
may
scratch
the
paintwork.
Never
select
a
wash
programme
that
f
inishes
with
a
hot
wax
cycle.
Advice on care and maintenance
If you vehicle is finished with a clear matt l acquer, please observe the following

ecommendations to avoid damaging the

aintwork by the use of an inappropriate

leaning
pro
cedures.
These
recommendations are also valid for alloy

oad wheels finished with clear matt lacquer.

Low tyre pressures increase fuel
consumption. The
tyre pressures must be checked

hen the tyres are cold, at least once

month.

Selecting a station
The external environment (hill, building, tunnel, underground car park...) may interfere with the reception, including in RDS station tracking mode. This phenomenon is a normal result of the way in which radio waves are transmitted and does not in any way indicate a fault with the audio system.
The
quality of reception is represented by the number of
active
waves in this symbol.
Press RA
d IO or OK to display the

Press the button on the numerical keypad to recall a preset station.
Or
press then turn the thumb wheel at the steering
mounted
controls.
Presetting a station
After selecting a station, press one of the buttons on the numerical keypad for 2 seconds to preset the
current
station.
An
audible signal confirms that the station has been
preset. Press
RA d IO.
Activate / d
eactivate R d S
RDS, if activated, allows you to continue listening to the same station
by automatic retuning to alternative frequencies. However,
in
certain conditions, coverage of an RDS station may not be
assured
throughout the entire country as radio stations do not
cover
100 % of the territory.
This
explains the loss of reception of
the
station during a journey.
Select "Guidance options " then
confirm.

Receiving a callAn incoming call is announced by a ring and a superimposed
display
in the vehicle's screen.
Select the YES tab on the display
using
the buttons and confirm by
pressing
OK.

this button to accept the call. Making a call
From the Bluetooth telephone function
Audio
menu, select Manage
the
telephone call then Call, Call list or Directory.
Press
this button for more than two seconds for
access
to your directory, then navigate with the
thumb
wheel.

r
To
dial a number, use your telephone's keypad,
with
the vehicle stationary.
BLUETOOTH FUNcTIONS
The system accesses the telephone's contacts directory, depending on compatibility, and while the Bluetooth connection with it is
maintained.
With certain telephones connected by
b luetooth you can send a
contact
to the directory of the audio system.
Contacts
imported in this way are saved in a permanent directory
visible
to all, whatever the telephone connected.
The
menu for the directory is not accessible if it is empty.
