batteryProcedure for charging your battery when it is flat or for starting the engine using another battery.T he  battery  is  located  under  the  bonnet.
To
 gain  access  to  it:

ecure the bonnet stay,

ift  the  plastic  cover  on  the  (+)  terminal.
Access to the batteryAfter refitting the battery by a CITRoË N dealer or a qualified
workshop,
 the  Stop  &  Start  system Â
w
ill only be active after a continuous
period
 of  immobilisation  of  the  vehicle, Â
a
 period  which  depends  on  the  climatic Â
c
onditions  and  the  state  of  charge  of Â
t
he  battery  (up  to  about  8  hours).

Energy economy modeSystem which manages the period of use of certain functions to conserve a sufficient level of charge in the battery.
A fter  the  engine  has  stopped,  you  can  still  use  functions  such  as  the  audio  equipment,  windscreen  wipers,  dipped  beam  headlamps,  courtesy  lamps, Â
e
tc.  for  a  maximum  combined  period  of  thirty  minutes.
This
 period  may  be  greatly  reduced  if Â
t
he  battery  is  not  fully  charged.
A
 flat  battery  prevents  the  engine  from Â
s
tarting  (refer  to  the  corresponding Â
par
agraph).
If
 the  telephone  is  being  used  at  the Â
s
ame  time  on  the  eMyWay  audio Â
n
avigation  system,  it  will  be  interrupted Â
a
fter  10  minutes.
Switching to economy mode
Once this period has elapsed, a message appears  on  the  multifunction  screen  indicating Â
t
hat  the  vehicle  has  switched  to  economy  mode Â
a
nd  the  active  functions  are  put  on  standby.
Exiting economy mode
These functions are reactivated automatically the  next  time  the  vehicle  is  driven.

n  order  to  resume  the  use  of  these Â
f
unctions  immediately,  start  the  engine  and Â
l
et  it  run  for  a  few  minutes.
The
 time  available  to  you  will  then  be  double Â
t
he  period  for  which  the  engine  is  left  running. Â

owever, this period will always be between
five
 and  thirty  minutes.

east  40  mph  (60  km/h)  until  the  warning  lamp Â

ow  additive  level.

 better  reception  of  the  station.Deactivate
 the  RDS  function  if  the  phenomenon  is Â

 frequent  and  always  on  the  same  route.

the  engine  off, Â
the
Â
audio  equipment Â
switches of

minutes
 of  use. When
 the  engine  is  switched  off,  the  audio  equipment  operating  time Â
depends
 on  the  battery  charge.

 switch-off  is  normal:  the  audio  equipment  switches  to  economy  mode Â

 CD. Switch
 the  audio  system  off  for  a  few  minutes  to Â
