Warning lamps
When the engine is running or the vehicle is being  driven,  the  illumination  of  one  of  the Â
f
ollowing  warning  lamps  indicates  a  fault  which Â
r
equires  action  on  the  part  of  the  driver.Any
 fault  resulting  in  the  illumination  of  a  warning  lamp  must  be  investigated  further  by  r
eading  the  associated  message  in  the  multifunction  screen.
If
 you  encounter  any  problems,  do  not  hesitate  to  contact  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a  qualified Â
w
orkshop.

Low fuel level fixed. When  it  first  comes  on  there  remains  a
pproximately 5 litres of fuel in the
tank. You
 must  refuel  as  soon  as  possible  to  avoid  running o
ut  of  fuel.
This
 warning  lamp  will  come  on  every  time  the  ignition  is
 s
witched  on,  until  a  sufficient  addition  of  fuel  is  made.
Fuel
 tank  capacity:  approximately  50  litres  (petrol),

6  litres  (Diesel)  or  33  litres  (LPG);  depending  on
 v
ersion:  approximately  30  litres  (petrol  or  Diesel).
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel as
this
 could  damage  the  emission  control  and  injection
 s
ystems.

 on  in  red,  accompanied  by  an Â

creen.
You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait
 a  few  minutes  before  switching  off  the Â

ngine.
Contact
 a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a  qualified Â

orkshop.
Coolant temperature indicator
After driving for a few minutes, the temperature and  pressure  in  the  cooling  system  increase.
To
 top  up  the  level:

ait  for  the  engine  to  cool  down,

nscrew the cap by two turns to allow the
pressure to drop,
F
Â
w
hen  the  pressure  has  dropped,  remove Â
t
he cap,
F
Â
t
op  up  the  level  to  the  "MA X"  mark.

Towing with the RACIng version
Your vehicle cannot be fitted with a
towbar.
 The  space  occupied  by  the Â
s
port  diffuser  prevents  this.
Side wind
F Take into  account  the  increased  sensitivity  t
o  side  wind.
Cooling
Towing a trailer on a slope increases the temperature  of  the  coolant.
As
 the  fan  is  electrically  controlled,  its  cooling Â
c
apacity  is  not  dependent  on  the  engine  speed.
F
Â
T
o  lower  the  engine  speed,  reduce  your Â
s
peed.
The
 maximum  towed  load  on  a  long  incline Â
d
epends  on  the  gradient  and  the  ambient Â
t
emperature.
In
 all  cases,  keep  a  check  on  the  coolant Â
t
emperature. F
Â
I
f  the  warning  lamp  and  the Â
S
TOP
Â
warning  lamp  come  on, Â
s
top the vehicle and switch off
the
 engine  as  soon  as  possible.
Braking
Towing a trailer increases the braking distance.
T o  avoid  overheating  of  the  brakes  on  a  long Â
m
ountain  type  of  descent,  the  use  of  engine Â
b
raking  is  recommended.

ehicle  and  of  the  trailer,  observing  the Â

Lighting
F Check the  electrical  lighting  and  signalling  o

Fluid specification
The coolant must conform to the manufacturer's r ecommendations.
Coolant level
The coolant level should be close
to the  "MA X"  mark  but  should  never Â
e
xceed  it.
In
Â
addition,  as  the  cooling  system  is Â
p
ressurised, wait at least one hour after
switching
Â
off  the  engine  before  carrying  out  any Â
wo
rk.
To
Â
avoid
Â
any  risk  of  scalding,  unscrew  the  cap Â
b
y
Â
two
Â
turns  to  allow  the  pressure  to  drop. Â
W
hen
Â
the
 pressure  has  dropped,  remove  the Â

ap

and

top  up  the  level.
When

the
 engine  is  warm,  the  temperature  of Â

he

coolant  is  regulated  by  the  fan.
The cooling fan may star t after
switching off the engine: take care
with articles and clothing that might
be caught by the fan blades.
