Locking the vehicle
with exterior
perimeter
protection only
To be effective, this deactivation mustbe carried out each time the ignition is switched off.

If the indicator lamp in button Aflashes rapidly, this indicates that the alarmwas triggered during your absence. When the ignition is switched on, thisflashing stops immediately.
To a v o i d t r iggering the alarm when washing your vehicle, lock it using the key in the driver's door lock.
Deactivation of the interior volumetric protection
)Switch off the ignition.)Within ten seconds, press button Auntil
the indicator lamp is on continuously.
)Get out of the vehicle.)Lock or deadlock the vehicle without delay using the locking button on the remote control.
The exterior perimeter protection alone remains
activated; the indicator lamp in button A flashes
once per second.

Reactivation of the interior volumetric protection
)
Unlock the vehicle using the unlockingbutton on the remote control. )
Relock the vehicle using the remotecontrol.
The alarm is activated again with both types
of protection; the indicator lamp in button A
flashes once per second.



Tr iggering of the alarm


This is indicated by sounding of the siren
and flashing of the direction indicators for
approximately thirty seconds.
After it has been triggered, both types of protection are again operational.
If the alarm is triggered ten times in succession, the eleventh time will result in it
becoming inactive.

Lock or deadlock the vehicle using the keyin the driver's or passenger's door lock.
Malfunction
When the ignition is switched on, illumination of
the indicator lamp in button Afor ten seconds indicates malfunction with the siren.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.

2 minutes after the last door or the boot is closed, the alarm is activated automatically. )
To avoid triggering the alarm on enteringthe vehicle, first press the unlocking button on the remote control.

Pull the door lever to open the door; thisunlocks this vehicle completely.




Closing

When a door is not closed correctly:
-when the engine is running , this
warning lamp comes on, accompaniedby a message in the multifunction screen for a few seconds,
-when the vehicle is moving(speedhigher than 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning
lamp comes on, accompanied by anaudible signal and a message in the multifunction screen for a few seconds.

Version with deadlocking

The interior door controls donot operate when the vehicle is deadlocked.

is inactive.)In this case, use the remote control or the key to unlock the vehicle.



Automatic central
locking

System which provides full automatic locking or unlocking of the doors and the boot while
driving.
You can activate or deactivate this function.


Locking

When the speed exceeds 6 mph (10 km/h), the
doors and the boot lock automatically.
Unlocking
)
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), press button Ato
unlock the doors and the boot temporarily.
If one of the doors is open, theautomatic central locking does not take place.
If the boot is open, the automatic central locking of the doors is active.Driving with the doors locked can makeaccess more difficult for the emergencyservices in the event an emergency.

In this position, the cour tesy lamp comes on gradually:

- when a door is opened,

- when the remote control locking button is
activated, in order to locate your vehicle.
It switches off
gradually:


- when the vehicle is locked,

- when the ignition is switched on,

- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.

With the "permanent lighting" mode, the duration of lighting varies, depending on the circumstances:- with the ignition off, approximately
ten minutes,- in energy economy mode, approximatelythirty seconds, - with the engine running, unlimited.


Map reading lamps
)With the ignition on, press thecorresponding switch.

Protect your eyes and face beforehandling the battery. All operations on the battery must be carried out in a well ventilated areaaway from naked flames and sources of sparks, so as to avoid the risk of explosion and fire.Do not try to charge a frozen battery;the battery must first be thawed out toavoid the risk of explosion. If the batteryhas been frozen, before charging haveit checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop who will check thatthe internal components have not been damaged and the casing is not cracked,which could cause a leak of toxic andcorrosive acid.
Do not reverse the polarity and useonly a 12 V charger. Do not disconnect the terminals while the engine is running. Do not charge the batteries without disconnecting the terminals first. Wash your hands after wards.
Do not push the vehicle to star t the engine if you have an electronicgearbox or automatic gearbox.
Charging the battery using
a battery charger

Batteries contain harmful substances such as sulphuric acid and lead. They must bedisposed of in accordance with regulationsand must not, in any circumstances, be discarded with household waste. Ta k e used remote control batteries andvehicle batteries to a special collection point.
)Follow the instructions for use provided by
the manufacturer of the charger.

Do not disconnect the battery to charge it.
