This displays the following information, via the audio equipment control pad: - the time, - the date, - the exterior temperature (if there is a risk of ice, you are warned by a message), - the audio source displays (radio, CD, jukebox, ...), - the telematic system displays (telephone, serv ices, ...), - the accesses check (doors, boot, ...), - the warning messages (e.g.: "Fuel level low") and vehicle function status messages (e.g.: "Auto lighting activated") d isplayed temporarily, - the trip computer display, - the GPS (Europe) satellite navigation system displays.
New The system uses the complete and detailed NAVTEQ m aps installed directly on the equipment's hard disc. There is no longer any need to insert a map CD in the CD player. For cleaning the screen, the use of a soft, non-abrasive cloth (spectacles cloth) is recommended with no additional product.

Turn the dial and select the TRAFFIC INFO function if you wish to receive the TRAFFIC INFO announcements.

SETTING HAZARDOUS AREAS
ALERT PARAMETERS
Turn the dial and select the SET HAZARDOUS AREAS PARAMETERS function, then press t h e d i a l t o c o n fi r m t h e w a r n i n g m e s s a g e . P r e s s t h e d i a l t o c o n fi r m the selection.
Select: - visual warnings, - audible warnings with an announcement duration (in seconds), - warn during guidance only, then select OK and press the dial to c o n fi r m .
These functions are only available if the hazardou s areas have been downloaded and installed on the system. T h e h a z a r d o u s a r e a s a r e , i n g e n e r a l , fi x e d s p e e d c a m e r a s , l e v e l crossings, dangerous uphill and downhill gradients. They may change on a regular basis.
Repeat steps 1 to 5 of the guidance option.

Each press of the button permits displaying of the different trip computer data in succession, depending on the displ ay.
Zero reset When the required route is displayed, press the control for more than two seconds.

CONFIGURE THE FILTERING AND
DISPLAY OF TMC MESSAGES
T h e n s e l e c t t h e r a d i u s o f t h e fi l t e r (in miles (km)) required in accordance with the route, press the dial to c o n fi r m . When all of the messages on the route are selected, the addition of a g e o g r a p h i c a l fi l t e r i s r e c o m m e n d e d (within a radius of 3 miles (5 km) for example) to reduce the number of messages displayed on the map. T h e g e o g r a p h i c a l fi l t e r f o l l o w s t h e movement of the vehicle.
Press the TRAFFIC button again or s e l e c t t h e " T r a f fi c " M e n u f u n c t i o n a n d p r e s s t h e d i a l t o c o n fi r m .
