WINDSCR EEN WIPER
85 - 1
The drive mechanism is mounted in the cli-
mate control box.
DISMOUNTIN G
Ensure that assembly is stopped in the
position “ stopped at fix point”. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
Dismount the climate control gasket.
Dismount the climate control protector
Dismoun t the wiring connector ( 1) from the
windscreen wiper electric motor (push on the
connector A point and detach from clips).
Remove the protectors ( 2) from shafts.
Di smount the attachment nuts ( 3) of the
windscreen wiper blade-arm assemblies .
Dismount the windscreen wiper blade-arm
assemblies (4 ). Mark the identification of their
mounting position and of the two windscreen
wiper blade-arm assemblies (left-right).
Remove the covers ( 5). Di
smount the shafts attachment nuts ( 6) on
the windscreen lower frame; recover the washers
and gaskets.
Detach from clips the washing hose.
Dismount the mechanism attachment screw
(7) on the windscreen lower crossbeam.
Extract t he m echanism from the climate
control box, by rotating it.
REMOU NT I NG
Perform the dismounting operations in t he
reverse order.
REMARK:
When mounting the drive m echanism, t he
wiper e lectric motor must be in the position
”stopped at fix point”.
The re quir ed tight ening moment of the
mechanism attachment screw ( 7) on t he
w indscreen lower crossbeam : 6-8 Nm.
The required tightening moment of the shafts
attachment nuts ( 6) on the windscreen lower
crossbeam: 8 ± 15 % Nm.
The re quir ed tight ening moment of the
attachment nuts ( 3) of the windscreen wiper
blades a nd arm s : 12 ± 15% Nm.
The re quir ed tight ening moment of the
attachment screw (7) of the windscreen washing
assembly : 2 Nm.

ELECTRICAL ASSISANCE EQUIPEMENT
87 - 1
It is located on the left side of the climate
control box, being attached by means of a
screw. It has the windscreen washing electric
pump attached on the washer reservoir.
In the drawin g, the following elements may
be identified:
1,2 Pins of the electric pump.
3 Windscreen washing reservoir
4 Electric pump
5 Attachment screw
6W ashing hose
7 Adjustable nozzle
8W ashing reservoir cap
9W ashing bushing
DISMOUNTIN G
Disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
Dismount the climate control gasket.
Dismount the climate control protector.
Di smount the attachment scre w of the
washing reservoir. Carefully remove the front wiring branch
(in order not to damage the splice), from its
location in the wall between the engine
compartment and the climate control box.
Extract the washing reservoir from the
washing b ushing (9). Di
sconnect t he washing hose connected to
the electric pump. Carefully remove the washing reservoir from
the climate control compartmen t and tilt it in such
way that windscreen washing fluid is not flowing
out.
R EMOU NT I NG
Perform the dismounting operations in t he
reverse order.
Check the opera tion of the assembly and
eventually adjust by means of a “needle” the
nozzle in order to correctly wash the windscreen.
AT T E N T I ON!
Do n o t clo se front bonnet after
dismounti ng the w ind scr een w a sh ing
assembly, because it may be possible the
front wiring damaging.
REMARK:
The washing fluid level must be between
the minim and maxim levels marks on the
washing reservoir (0.8 l). The required t ightening m oment of the
attachment screw of the windscreen washing
assembly: 2 Nm.

ELECTRIC DIAGRAMS
89 - 2
The fuse box from the engine compartment is presented in Chapter 9, that contains information
about its location on the vehicle and the functional purpose of the relays and fuse placed on it.
The functional codes of the wires are detailed explained in Chapter 12. FUNCTIONAL DIAGRAMS INTERPRETATION
The functional diagram information included in Chapter 7 are to be i nterpreted taking i nto
consideration the explanation referring to the following example:
1= vehicle class
2= manufacturing year
3= functional electric diagram denomination
4= equipment differentiation criteria for identifying the functional electric diagram ˙
5= electric connector colour ˝
6= connector graphical representation
7= electric component index number
8= number of the fuse box on which the relay or safety fuse is m ounted
9= safety fuse identification on fuse box
10 = safety fuse value
11 = identification of wiring joints
12 = electric mass identification
13 = electric connection colour between wiring ˝
14 = electric connection identification
15 = electric connection graphical representation
16 = symbol, pages containing functional diagrams
17 = wire function code
18 = wire colour ˝
19 = functional diagram number
OBSERVATION:
1. The area ( 4) specifies the differentiating elements serving to the various functional diagrams
identification, considering the following symbols:
ABCO01 = driver’s airbag
CA = climate maintenance with air conditioning
CHAUFO = climate maintenance without air conditioning
CPE = Electric locking/unlock ing doors control
DA = assisted power steering
E0, E1, E2 = levels of equipment
LV E = front windows electric control
