Programming The Memory Feature
NOTE:To create a new memory profile, perform the
following:
1. Cycle the vehicles ignition to the ON/RUN position (Do not start the engine).
2.
Adjust all memory profile settings to desired preferences
(i.e., seat, side mirror, power tilt and telescopic steering
column [if equipped], and radio station presets).
3. Push and release the S (Set) button on the memory switch.
4. Within five seconds, push and release either of the memory buttons (1) or (2). The Instrument Cluster
Display will show which memory position has been set.
NOTE:
•
Memory profiles can be set without the vehicle in PARK,
but the vehicle must be in PARK to recall a memory profile.
• To set a memory profile to your key fob, refer to
“Linking And Unlinking The Remote Keyless Entry Key
Fob To Memory” in this section.
Linking And Unlinking The Remote Keyless Entry
Key Fob To Memory
Your key fobs can be programmed to recall one of two
pre-programmed memory profiles by pushing the UN-
LOCK button on the key fob.
NOTE: Before programming your key fobs you must select
the “Memory Linked To FOB” feature through the
Uconnect system screen. Refer to “Uconnect Settings ” in
“Understanding Your Instrument Panel” for further infor-
mation.
To program your key fobs, perform the following:
1. Cycle the vehicles ignition to the OFF position.
2. Select a desired memory profile (1) or (2).
NOTE: If a memory profile has not already been set, refer
to Programming The Memory Feature in this section for
instructions on how to set a memory profile.
3. Once the profile has been recalled, push and release the SET (S) button on the memory switch.
4. Within five seconds, push and release button (1) or (2) accordingly. “Memory Profile Set” (1 or 2) will display
in the instrument cluster.

5. Within 10 seconds, Push and release the LOCK buttonon the key fob.
NOTE: Your key fobs can be unlinked to your memory
settings by pushing the SET (S) button, and within 10
seconds, followed by pushing the UNLOCK button on the
key fob.
Memory Position Recall
NOTE: The vehicle must be in PARK to recall memory
positions. If a recall is attempted when the vehicle is not in
PARK, a message will be displayed in the Instrument
Cluster Display.
Driver One Memory Position Recall
• To recall the memory settings for driver one using the
memory switch, push MEMORY button number 1 on the
memory switch.
• To recall the memory settings for driver one using the
key fob, push the UNLOCK button on the key fob linked
to memory position 1. Driver Two Memory Position Recall
•
To recall the memory setting for driver two using the
memory switch, push MEMORY button number 2 on the
memory switch.
• To recall the memory settings for driver two using the
key fob, push the UNLOCK button on the key fob linked
to memory position 2.
A recall can be cancelled by pushing any of the MEMORY
buttons during a recall (S, 1, or 2). When a recall is
cancelled, the driver’s seat and steering column (if
equipped) stop moving. A delay of one second will occur
before another recall can be selected.
Easy Entry/Exit Seat
This feature provides automatic driver seat positioning to
enhance driver mobility when entering and exiting the
vehicle.
The distance the driver seat moves depends on where you
have the driver seat positioned when you cycle the vehi-
cle’s ignition to the OFF position.
• When you cycle the vehicle’s ignition to the OFF posi-
tion, the driver seat will move about 2.4 inches (60 mm)
rearward if the driver seat position is greater than or

Front Map/Reading Lights — If Equipped
The front map/reading lights are mounted in the overhead
console.
Each light can be turned on by pushing a switch on either
side of the console. These buttons are backlit for night timevisibility. To turn the lights off, push the switch a second
time. The lights will also turn on when the UNLOCK
button on the key fob is pushed.

ELECTRONIC SPEED CONTROL — IF EQUIPPED
When engaged, the Electronic Speed Control takes over
accelerator operations at speeds greater than 25 mph
(40 km/h).
The Electronic Speed Control buttons are located on the
right side of the steering wheel.NOTE:
In order to ensure proper operation, the Electronic
Speed Control System has been designed to shut down if
multiple Speed Control functions are operated at the same
time. If this occurs, the Electronic Speed Control System
can be reactivated by pushing the Electronic Speed Control
ON/OFF button and resetting the desired vehicle set
speed.
To Activate
Push the ON/OFF button to activate the electronic speed
control. CRUISE CONTROL READY will appear on the
Instrument Cluster Display to indicate the electronic speed
control is on. To turn the system off, push the ON/OFF
button a second time. CRUISE CONTROL OFF will appear
on the Instrument Cluster Display to indicate the electronic
speed control is off. The system should be turned off when
not in use.
WARNING!
Leaving the Electronic Speed Control system on when
not in use is dangerous. You could accidentally set the
system or cause it to go faster than you want. You could
lose control and have an accident. Always leave the
system OFF when you are not using it.Electronic Speed Control Buttons

WARNING!
Electronic Speed Control can be dangerous where the
system cannot maintain a constant speed. Your vehicle
could go too fast for the conditions, and you could lose
control and have an accident. Do not use Electronic
Speed Control in heavy traffic or on roads that are
winding, icy, snow-covered or slippery.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) — IF
EQUIPPED
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) increases the driving con-
venience provided by cruise control while traveling on
highways and major roadways. However, it is not a safety
system and not designed to prevent collisions.Electronic
Speed Control function performs differently. Please refer
to the proper section within this chapter.
ACC will allow you to keep cruise control engaged in light
to moderate traffic conditions without the constant need to
reset your cruise control. ACC utilizes a radar sensor and a
forward facing camera designed to detect a vehicle directly
ahead of you. NOTE:
•
If the sensor does not detect a vehicle ahead of you, ACC
will maintain a fixed set speed.
• If the ACC sensor detects a vehicle ahead, ACC will
apply limited braking or acceleration (not to exceed the
original set speed) automatically to maintain a preset
following distance, while matching the speed of the
vehicle ahead.
The Cruise Control system has two control modes:
• Adaptive Cruise Control mode for maintaining an ap-
propriate distance between vehicles.
• Normal (fixed speed) electronic speed control mode for
cruising at a constant preset speed. For additional infor-
mation, refer to “Normal (Fixed Speed) Cruise Control
Mode” in this section.
NOTE: Normal (fixed speed) electronic speed control will
not react to preceding vehicles. Always be aware of the
mode selected.
You can change the mode by using the Cruise Control
buttons. The two control modes function differently. Al-
ways confirm which mode is selected.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Operation
The speed control buttons (located on the right side of the
steering wheel) operates the ACC system.NOTE:
Any chassis/suspension or tire size modifications
to the vehicle will effect the performance of the Adaptive
Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning System.
Activating Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
You can only engage ACC if the vehicle speed is above
0 mph (0 km/h).
The minimum Set Speed for the ACC system is 20 mph
(32 km/h).
When the system is turned on and in the READY state, the
Instrument Cluster Display will read “ACC Ready.”
When the system is OFF, the Instrument Cluster Display
will read “Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Off.”

Metric Speed (km/h)
•Pushing the SET -button once will result in a 1 km/h
decrease in set speed. Each subsequent tap of the button
results in a decrease of 1 km/h.
• If the button is continually pushed, the set speed will
continue to decrease in 10 km/h decrements until the
button is released. The decrease in set speed is reflected
in the Instrument Cluster Display.
NOTE:
• When you override and push the SET +button or SET -
buttons, the new Set Speed will be the current speed of
the vehicle.
• When you use the SET -button to decelerate, if the
engine’s braking power does not slow the vehicle suffi-
ciently to reach the set speed, the brake system will
automatically slow the vehicle. •
The ACC system applies the brake down to a full stop
when following a target vehicle. If an ACC host vehicle
follows a target vehicle to a standstill, the host vehicle
will release the vehicle brakes two seconds after coming
to a full stop.
• The ACC system maintains set speed when driving up
hill and down hill. However, a slight speed change on
moderate hills is normal. In addition, downshifting may
occur while climbing uphill or descending downhill.
This is normal operation and necessary to maintain set
speed. When driving up hill and down hill, the ACC
system will cancel if the braking temperature exceeds
normal range (overheated).

OVERHEAD CONSOLE
The overhead console contains courtesy/reading lights
and storage for sunglasses. Universal Garage Door Opener
(HomeLink), power liftgate and power sunroof switches
may also be included, if equipped.
Front Map/Reading Lights — If Equipped
Lights are mounted in the overhead console. Each light can
be turned on by pushing the switch on either side of the
console. These buttons are backlit for night time visibility.

Sunglasses Bin Door
At the front of the console a compartment is provided for
the storage of a pair of sunglasses. The storage compart-
ment access is a “push/push” design. Push the chrome pad
on the door to open. Push the chrome pad on the door to
close.
GARAGE DOOR OPENER — IF EQUIPPED
HomeLink replaces up to three remote controls (handheld
transmitters) that operate devices such as garage door
openers, motorized gates, lighting or home security sys-
tems. The HomeLink unit operates off your vehicle’s
battery.
The HomeLink buttons, located on either the overhead
console, or sunvisor, designate the three different
HomeLink channels. The HomeLink indicator is located
above the center button.

NOTE:HomeLink is disabled when the Vehicle Security
Alarm is active.
Before You Begin Programming HomeLink
Be sure that your vehicle is parked outside of the garage
before you begin programming.
For more efficient programming and accurate transmission
of the radio-frequency signal, it is recommended that a new
battery be placed in the hand-held transmitter of the device
that is being programmed to the HomeLink system. To erase the channels, place the ignition in the ON/RUN
position and push and hold the two outside HomeLink
buttons (I and III) for up 20 seconds or until the red
indicator flashes.
NOTE:
•
Erasing all channels should only be performed when
programming HomeLink for the first time. Do not erase
channels when programming additional buttons.

Programming A Rolling Code
For programming garage door openers that were manufac-
tured after 1995:
These garage door openers can be identified by the
“LEARN” or “TRAIN” button located where the hanging
antenna is attached to the garage door opener. It is NOT the
button that is normally used to open and close the door.
The name and color of the button may vary by manufac-
turer.
